    Hurt business had so many potential feuds. The story was there and MVP was the perfect mouthpiece. It’s a shame they didn’t get a real chance

      Agreed. Even just having a Hurt Business vs Bloodline Feud before breaking up the faction was such a compelling and easy storyline to write. I don’t understand why Vince said this was as far as the Hurt Business could go.

      Then there was the Hurt Business volume 2. Where you saw Camelo Hayse, Amos and The Street Profits all in The Hurt Business.
      They definitely could have gotten over. Probably could even been just as big as The Bloodline or Wyatts.
      But that's too much diversity for WWE.

    That faction unfortunately came up about the same time as Roman’s bloodline so Vince chose his golden boi. Lashley had plans to expand , recruit more members (the profits , Melo, B-Fab etc )
    Maybe he can do that again and give up and coming young black wrestlers some rub(guys like Wes Lee could need that sort of faction to grow quickly if they joined the main roster)

    Amazing faction, and they were too over. Vince canned it because it was a better faction than the bloodline, in my opinion. He probably didn't like that and ended it, too soon. MVP was almost as good as Paul Heyman.

      @@boogidwnej179 Better than being Chinese. I had 3 wwe tryouts before 2010. (Before they even really gave asians a chance) Could walk the top rope and hit moonsaults. Had the reverse cloverleaf before Ripley. My FCW tryout was with AJ Lee.
      But at least Jey Uso still uses my neckbreaker. CZcams Best Neckbreaker in History.

    The Hurt Business was perfect. You had a great manager in MVP, Shelton Benjamin one of the best all around wrestlers of his generation, who I kinda wish they made the wise old guard like Ric Flair in evolution, Bobby Lashley a genetic freak in his prime the leader, and a young up and comer who looks bigger physically than he actually is in Cedric Alexander.

    I still stand by my idea that it was racial. Vince didn't want to push 2 factions into the main event that didn't have a white dude in it. As it might scare away white viewers. Vince just doesn't get wrestling...

    I commented this many times, but my theory is they were super over, and they couldn't be allowed to outshine The Bloodline. I feel like the same thing happened with Team Angle and Evolution. They were over and couldn't outshine Evolution. I knew I was right about the Team Angle thing when Kurt basically confirmed in an interview.

    The Hurt Business was ruined after they had Lashley destroy Shelton and Cedric on Raw. Then the next week they had Shelton and Cedric trying to win Bobby over again like nothing happened 😂. The writing back then was wild'

    When you're dealing with a company that's not really in high quality work (push) for certain groups of wrestlers once in a while 1 of them will get a big push but never will be a long term position nor build WWE staffs and behinds including superstars since back in time had the "R" word labeled around for legitimate reasons just like this situation
