I love seeing how far you've both come along with your property investments. Very cool, Ach, that your brother is interested. I enjoy the progress on your properties and can't wait to see the end results. Thanks, Ach. 😊👍(and Lia, too). 😊👍
I had the notification on, but I wasn't notified until it was over. CZcams keeps doing it way late.
Sounds like a really interesting project but so much to think about and decide on! My brain would be overtaxed.
Exciting project & I look forward to hearing more as you branch out to trying on all these new hats & opportunities! You 2 definitely know how to keep busy!
This looks like such a great project. Can't wait for all the updates. And how fun to work with family. Here's to smooth and enjoyable process for all of you!
Thank you for sharing.
Lia, you looking at the camera and saying I'm not an accountant 😆. I was in an accounting class in college for 3 weeks. I had to drop it because it was using math for an evil purpose. My sister love accounting, she now works at a bank doing financial work. She is one of the people that work on lones and other boring stuff. I told her I couldn't do her job because all that paperwork would push me over the edge😂
@@PropertyCouple Hiya Crinkle, I had that thats when the doctor checked for autism, totally wild
Great video! Which area are these properties in? Which areas do you guys normally target/ invest in?
That's awesome! I would love to be able for you all to do that for me one day.
Great video! I’d love to see a comparison of numbers if it were a HMO vs 3 buy-to-lets.
Hey Jonny, as we progress through the project i'll be sure to present the numbers to you guys.
Nice detailed video! Do you also provide Sourcing as a service? Thanks:)
We actually have a small HMO available to source (currently off market) if interested. Please email me ak@propertycouple.co.uk
What a great opportunity for your brother. I’m curious what VAC means. Looked it up wasn’t able to find answers. Does the contractor receive 20% of future rental income? Sorry I’m confused. ~Cara 😊
VAC? Was it meant to say VAT? Its a UK tax we pay on goods and services. (Value added tax). Eg we buy a new door it costs £100+VAT@20%=£120
@@PropertyCouple YES! Thank you sorry didn’t have my glasses on! 😎
This may sound lame, but outdoor space is a big thing in the USA. The back yard is small for all the apartments to share. Is there anyway to add balconies to some of these apartments ? The cost of rent would be more of course.
The UK doesn't often have fantastic weather 😂 but in all seriousness, the garden is not out the ordinary for UK apartments. Many apartments here do not even have a garden. We wouldn't add balconies as the cost would be astronomical!
I think that’s a really big garden for those flats. Almost too big because it’s unlikely the tenants are going to want to do any gardening so you’ll have to install paving or gravel on most of it.
Hiya Ach and Lia, I received my Thankyou card this morning, I'll keep it forever, so thanks for that, Kizzy and Jazz have thanked you also, I hope your brother enjoys his new house, do you want me to still send you recipes or have you got enough? this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Please feel free to keep sending them. I do plan to make one and film it one day!
@@PropertyCouple I don't mind doing that, You'll get more soon? do you not mind what recipes you get?
Hiya Ach and Lia, I wasn't having a dig at you, I can't wait until you do a recipe that I've sent you, hopefully you'll do more than one on camera, if You would like to meet up with me You's would have to come to Keswick in the northern lake district, you can vlog it if you like, I can't drive so it'll be hard for me to get to your home town, I cant wait for the new football season to start, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Hey, is the upcoming changing EPC regs changing how you’re approaching your strategies?
Hey, thanks for the question. Not really, there are certain things we now must be more mindful of. However, with this property, not having to replace the windows allows us more funds to allocate to things like insulation for example.
@@PropertyCouple ah ok. I work in retrofitting / construction company (in marketing) and there’s a lot going about regarding stranded assets because of future epc requirements making it too costly for people to being rented homes upto standard. Trying to get my head around what It really means :)
Am planning to come to uk next year for my master's and am really interested in real estate investing. I would definitely reach out to you to get knowledge about real estate investing and how to start.
It's awesome that you brother wants to start the same type business. That shows he is proud of you and Lia and what you have been able to accomplish and is confident in the ability to help him get started.
