He was asked why his wife was not around on a show and he answered. He didn't go to the show to complain about the wife
Yes, he may have decleared he was no longer with his wife and probably told his wife he did not want the marriage anymore, but did he compensate her. Marraiges at that time, made a woman dependent on her husband; also, she had children for Yaw Sarpong, and Yaw Sarpong asked her to stay at home and care for their children. That meant she sacrificed her body to have not just one child but more children for this man and sacrificed her time to care for them and the home when she could have pursued her dreams or gotten a career ( she was also a singer). So when Yaw Sarpong decides one day that he does not want her anymore and so she should just disappear, without compensating her(providing her money to start or helping her start something she and/or her children could depend on after the breakup), that's unfair. Many women hang on to bad marraiges and stay in it despite the bad treatment they experience because of this( they're dependent financially); they have a lot to lose not that they love to be married or love their partners soooo much. I don't fault Yaw Sarpong's wife so much because it hurts to be used....
The way he treated the woman and some choices he made may be contributing to his recurring downfalls and current debilitating health condition. God defends and fights for the defenceless. Also, when you represent the Lord and you walk in unrepentant sin, the Lord will show you pepper.

In Akan tradition, a man doesn't return drinks. They take it rather from the woman's family but if it's the woman asking for divorce,then she has to return it herself

Yaw Sarpong‘s wife has really suffered in the hands of the man. The woman was the one singing until Tiwaa came. He asked his wife to stay home and take care of the children. This woman sacrificed her career for family. This man was sleeping with Tiwa in the same house he lived with his wife.. She was sleeping with other women too, but Tiwa was the main side chick. A man from abroad wanted to marry Tiwaa, but Yaw said nope cos he wanted Tiwaa to keep singing in the band. Yaw caused all these problems, u can’t blame Tiwa much.
