- Hawthorn trounced the Saints in a great 4 quarter effort. The game was faultless for the winners, having a spread of 11 goal kickers with four of them kicking a bag of 4. Ryan Schoenmakers made his senior come back, and was phenomenal, with 4 goals. We travel to to play an old foe for the Swans on Friday night, which should be a cracker (preferably a thumping)!

This was a great match with such variable weather conditions. Beautiful sunshine to start then a torrential downpour. The skills of The Mighty Hawks never faltered and their determination stuck hard during trying conditions against an underperforming St Kilda side. Then again....we never let them have a look in! CARN THE MIGHTY HAWKS!!
This was Schoenmakers return after many injuries. What I took from this game was how good Hawthorn's skills were in slippery conditions. There was barely a spilled disposal or dropped mark. Outstanding.
MacLachlan talking over the Birchall to Roughie to Breust to Hill goal is so annoying. What he's saying is correct. Injured players spend their time on injury lists doing the rounds of press boxes on match day. Truth telling. What he failed dismally to convey was the sublime Birchall kick, from the back of the centre square which landed in the most dangerous of places. Roughead's attack at the ball, his dish to Breust's advantage and then the Breust tackle brush off and give...that was some damn good footy.
wow what a thumping
Worry about Friday with no lake or Mitchell
Hawks win by 145 points
