This man is very Hidden in history, he was a big part of the greatest revival since the days of the apostles. This guy should be more known for his contribution then he is praise the Lord I know God Will reward him.
GOD has to remove the sin of pride, jealousy and prejudice that is still in many of His people, so that they will know Him and His love and understand that they should not hide His peoples history. I totally agree. I feel the same way. But, on the other hand, I'm relatively new here (my videos are only a few months old), and my channel is still pretty much unknown. But when I look at what's happening (I check my channel analytics provided by youtube) I can see that a video such as this one had VERY FEW views like less than 100, then as soon as some kind Christian brother here SHARED it, IT TOOK OFF! And went from a few views to THOUSANDS! It ALL depends on if the video gets SHARED! ~ Also, when I think about it, my videos are MOSTLY 2 HOURS LONG! (most viral videos are SHORT!) So, if one of my 2 hour videos gets 10,000 views, that's EQUAL to a short video getting 1 MILLION! ~ But I'm GLAD for YOU and ALL my VIEWERS! These are BLESSINGS for WHOEVER WANTS, but yes I agree, NOT MANY CARE, I'm glad and thankful YOU do!

I am a born again Christian not so long.My Instructor told me to make a Reflection about the History of AG but I found it weird and uninteresting to watch a history or documentary about the AG becuase I am actually attending International Christian Assembly Church.I am more interested in the History of the Church where I belonged( ICA).In my opinion why so many AG or Pentecostal churches people have little knowledge about this movement it's because they never taught it in the church. It is so confusing to me now because there's a lot of churches with different names under AG but they have their own agenda. This is the first time I heard the name of this guy when I watched the video of the history of AG.
So glad Brother Seymour did not shrink in the face of the awful sin of racism. Many proud whites were struck and amazed to realize the authenticity of God's leadership was fully released to Brother Seymour, even as many white clergy found themselves unable to partake of God's blessing for reasons of pride.

I was introduced to the Pentecostal religion (by a Jewish evangelist), who taught us about William Seymour and Azuzu Street. Oh my gosh, he was so amazing! Also, I took care of a woman who was 99 years old and she received the Holy Spirit from two women who were taught by Charles Parham from the same place via William Seymour. She was raised by her Cherokee grandparents and told me some stories about the early, early move of the Spirit here. Actually, we worshiped a little in her home together and we knew the same songs! The Lord is so amazing! Oh my gosh! I wish the Reverend Seymour was alive today and we could sit in on one of his services, hahaha! He would certainly shake up the snooty. (Speaking of myself in another life, of course, before receiving the Spirit).

Yes, it brought much unity, and I wish it had remained back then. Now a days, I still see churches separated in color even when blacks and whites are welcome, but they still separate with their own colors, and it hurts me to see it. However, I have joined a black church where I live, and this church has quite a few white people serving in it.

If we were to have another revival like Azusa Street would we learn from the mistakes people made after it? They had a grand opportunity to keep that fire of equality and unity going. I hope if God sends revival again that we truly repent and become one body.

The Church of God in Cleveland did not trace its roots to Azusa. The Church of God was organized in 1886 and experienced the baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues in 1896, 4 years before Parham’s group and 10 years before Azusa. The Church of God experience was opposite of the Parham’s experiment. Parham asked a group of Bible students the question, “what is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.” The Bible class concluded from scripture that speaking in tongues was that initial evidence; and began to seek for the gift. The Church of God experience was that of a group of believers in North Carolina seeking God in a prayer meeting and experiencing speaking in tongues; then seeking the scriptures to find out what was happening to them. The fact that the Pentecostal movement began separately on opposite sides of the North American continent from two different perspectives further validates the Hand of God in the movement. No one can say that Pentecostalism began with experientialism, nor with a doctrine-it began BOTH ways in separate places, unknown to each other!
It is very unfortunate that today pentecostal believers as well as those that witnessed the Asuza Street revival failed to see the deep intentions of God, The Asuza Street revival was not meant to plant a denomination church , or a movement but it was The Holy Spirit manifestation to true christian believers,The Pentecostal movement missed the key purpose of God and still today pentecostal preachers miss, the purpose of the working of the Holy Spirit, Denominational spirit is far outside the real intentions and purpose of God in Asuza street Revival.

Thank you jesus thank you mr Seymour for your love of god with such a passion when I came across your story it blessed me so much and also to realise the love you had for god I am searching for a church to worship but sadly there's a flaw in each one I have attended where they add or take away the word and the meaning of gods word I can't seem to grasp the insolence of these preacher's commiting blasphemy in churches of today that's why I do not attend church its a frightening thought that we dont know which church to attend . But the answers are all in gods word the bible king james version. I totally agree. I feel the same way. But, on the other hand, I'm relatively new here (my videos are only a few months old), and my channel is still pretty much unknown. But when I look at what's happening (I check my channel analytics provided by youtube) I can see that a video such as this one had VERY FEW views like less than 100, then as soon as some kind Christian brother here SHARED it, IT TOOK OFF! And went from a few views to THOUSANDS! It ALL depends on if the video gets SHARED! ~ Also, when I think about it, my videos are MOSTLY 2 HOURS LONG! (most viral videos are SHORT!) So, if one of my 2 hour videos gets 10,000 views, that's EQUAL to a short video getting 1 MILLION! ~ But I'm GLAD for YOU and ALL my VIEWERS! I am a born again Christian not so long.My Instructor told me to make a Reflection about the History of AG but I found it weird and uninteresting to watch a history or documentary about the AG becuase I am actually attending International Christian Assembly Church.I am more interested in the History of the Church where I belonged( ICA).In my opinion why so many AG or Pentecostal churches people have little knowledge about this movement it's because they never taught it in the church. It is so confusing to me now because there's a lot of churches with different names under AG but they have their own agenda. I was introduced to the Pentecostal religion (by a Jewish evangelist), who taught us about William Seymour and Azuzu Street. Oh my gosh, he was so amazing! Also, I took care of a woman who was 99 years old and she received the Holy Spirit from two women who were taught by Charles Parham from the same place via William Seymour. She was raised by her Cherokee grandparents and told me some stories about the early, early move of the Spirit here. Actually, we worshiped a little in her home together and we knew the same songs! The Lord is so amazing! Oh my gosh! I wish the Reverend Seymour was alive today and we could sit in on one of his services, hahaha! He would certainly shake up the snooty. (Speaking of myself in another life, of course, before receiving the Spirit).

Yes, it brought much unity, and I wish it had remained back then. Now a days, I still see churches separated in color even when blacks and whites are welcome, but they still separate with their own colors, and it hurts me to see it. However, I have joined a black church where I live, and this church has quite a few white people serving in it.

The Church of God in Cleveland did not trace its roots to Azusa. The Church of God was organized in 1886 and experienced the baptism with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues in 1896, 4 years before Parham’s group and 10 years before Azusa.
The Church of God experience was opposite of the Parham’s experiment. Parham asked a group of Bible students the question, “what is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.” The Bible class concluded from scripture that speaking in tongues was that initial evidence; and began to seek for the gift.
The Church of God experience was that of a group of believers in North Carolina seeking God in a prayer meeting and experiencing speaking in tongues; then seeking the scriptures to find out what was happening to them.
The fact that the Pentecostal movement began separately on opposite sides of the North American continent from two different perspectives further validates the Hand of God in the movement. No one can say that Pentecostalism began with experientialism, nor with a doctrine-it began BOTH ways in separate places, unknown to each other!
It happened is all we need to dwell on, because God is great and greatly to be praised.

But the answers are all in gods word the bible king james version.
