The mental health system needs reassessment and a complete overall. The loop hole is that when someone makes an initial threat, the person is talked to, calmed down and then the clinicians or evaluators say, " oh he's no longer a threat to himself or anyone else.and they are released into their own care. No one in the field then checks on the person for any prolonged period or put on medicine because that too is left up to the person who isn't mentally stable.

I don't know why I thought this was a press conference or update on the case. They're talking about the grocery store. They gave the flag to the Tops president? They should have given it to the security guard Aaron Salter Jr. for his service to the community. I feel like they should have been praying for the community and the evil that's plaguing our country right now. I do understand that the community has to be serviced but let's not allow that to be the only focus. No one has said much of anything about the African American community. And what the people of that community is feeling. I shed tears just thinking about the fact that I was born with a skin color that brings out so much hate in perfect strangers that they want me dead. I have never did anything to them, they don't know me...but they hate me. I had to explain to my five year old child that some people won't like her because of the color her skin because a kid at school teased her because she is black. And I have to worry about my 23 year old son just hanging outside with his friends because I don't want him getting harassed by the police or getting shot by a maniac who wants to hurt him because he's black. This is insane...I am praying 😇 for the world to learn to love 💕

The mental health system needs reassessment and a complete overall. The loop hole is that when someone makes an initial threat, the person is talked to, calmed down and then the clinicians or evaluators say, " oh he's no longer a threat to himself or anyone else.and they are released into their own care. No one in the field then checks on the person for any prolonged period or put on medicine because that too is left up to the person who isn't mentally stable.
