I think it's more a case of being underexposed rather than underrated. She's more of a well kept secret.
It's not true, she's not underrated. I worship her. I know of some people who love her nearly as much as I do. You want quality over quantity.
You meant to say her music isn't ubiquitous. Agnes doesn't need to become the next Adele. She has her niche and she's sublime.
Dan Übec I meant it in the sense that she's underrated in the much larger music industry, not that she's underrated by the people who give her music a listen. And of course, she doesn't need to be the next Adele. But usually, when you like an artist, you want them to be more successful. When I say that, I do mean it in the monetary and fame sort of way, not just creative success. But then again, I do understand that that feeling/wishing is purely subjective. I'd like her to be slightly better known among the general public, some other fan of hers might not.
Just that I don't believe that being famous directly correlates to a loss in quality and a spike in quantity or anything. 'Cause at the end of the day, it depends on the artist and whether or not they're capable of handling the expectations, whether or not they would succumb. A lot of "successful" artists in the industry haven't let their music taste dust to appeal to the masses, yet have ended up extremely popular. It just depends on a thousand and one circumstances. Assumptions are a bit unfair.

So far, Familiar and Golden Green seem to explore different vocal sounds. In Familiar, her voice is pitched, in this one 1:11 it's low and weird. I'm curious what other things we might find on the new album. I love the 'glass clear' xylophone sound here. Truly captures the 'sound' a kaleidoscope would make.
Just imagine Illangelo or Arca experimenting with her voice and ''clearer'' sounds and doing something out of this world :')
I bought her LPs because I really love her creativity, but believe me, I have all the hi-fi equipments, but she has some serious mixing issues. There's way too much reverb, droning bass used in her tracks. I've tried her tracks on HD800S, HD800, HD600. They all reveal mixing lags. And if you try warm sounding gears, then, oh boy, it becomes unbearable.

The most incredible thing about all of this is that this song featured Jonas Bjerre; when I found out, I felt like it was meant to be. I've been completely in love with Mew since I was 14, and I feel something similar with Agnes. Them collaborating makes so much sense because they're both creative and feel the music with all their soul. I'm so happy about this
