This is the one of the best videos of flying in PNG that I've seen! I flew there over 30 years ago and this would be the video that I'd refer non-pilots to because it shows what it's like flying much better than anything else I've ever seen. Kudos to you all.
Same here. I flew in PNG from 1990-1997 and I wish we had this video technology available then. Great video - especially the picture stability under the conditions.

Hello wantoks. I landed on this airstrip in Maramuni 1991 in an MAF Twin Otter, and then I walked down to somewhere on the Yuat river and then canoe to Angoram (Ambunti?), then PMV to Wewak, then Fokker Fellowship to Moresby, then Air Niugini 707 to Guam, then Continental 747 to USA.

450 meters ? lucky it's an uphill strip.

@@sharkytrackocage1176 Well if it was a flat strip 450 meters would not be long enough for a Twin Otter to land there. A loaded Twin Otter needs about 600m to land on a flat strip. But since Maramuni is an uphill strip it slows down the aircraft better and allows it to land on a shorter strip. Also allows the plane to take off downhill in a shorter distance :)
