Wonderful tutorial
I have just one question
When i use charcoal pencil directly on the paper it appears very rough and and hard to blend.
I need your advice to make my drawings soft and beautiful like yours
Shading directly with the charcoal pencil is usually difficult to blend for a smooth effect . Unless you’re shading the hair.. use charcoal powder. It can be applied with a brush or cotton bud for a smooth blend
And again how do you chean your blend stumps
I trim it using a blade
Please how do you prime the canvas after completion. Thank you
It’s not a canvas but a Canson paper
Please what kind of brush do you use , normal painting brush or makeup artist brush?
Painting brush.. Royal Art brush
How do you dip your brush in charcoal powder?, what quantity of it gets cut in the brush at a time. Could you please show us how that works
Just the tip of the brush..
you can use two brushes.. the shading brush and a clean brush.. after using the shading brush, go over with the clean brush to remove excess charcoal powder.. Also, my drawing board isn’t laid flat on a surface but mounted upright on a wall .. when laid flat, the paper retains more charcoal powder.. You can also start the shading with a cotton bud or blending stump to easily control the charcoal powder before shading over with the brush to make the shading smoother.
Keep practicing..💪🏾
Thanks a lot Sir..
