Not in today's world lol, restraints can easily earn 25-30L per month just by working in cloud kitchen, and delivering on swiggy and Zomato, all you need is a good brain for that

They are in the food business it doesn't matter about location be it in a village or city if the taste and quality of food is good and pricing is good definitely the business will explode specially with Zomato swiggy available to cater to different areas. Location doesn't matter at all nowdays

@@irritatedironic6123 Lol! Street vendors located in proper places do a sale of 15K-40K per day, there is a difference between Sales and Earnings, here everyone is discussing about sales. Street vendors’ earnings is also quite good, in 2010 I was having a chat with a Pani Poori guy (16-17years old) outside a Mall in Goregaon, Mumbai, he told at that time his sales during weekends was 15k-16k and during weekdays 2k-3k.
In Bangalore also I spoke to many street vendors, below my office a guy had a stall of Chai, Pakoda and Samosa, he had to keep 4 helpers due to his huge sales and was paying 70k per month rent for the small space. Perhaps you’re not aware of the potential of these stalls.

I study at IIT kharagpur .. and there is a small restaurant called PFC inside the campus which operates only during the second half (evening till midnight) yet makes 70000-80000 per day. Forget about days when exams are over or students have gone for a celebration post viva etc.. If a restaurant in a college campus makes more than you then you definitely need a reality check. especially them given the background they have and resources ...

I have a tea shop, made a sale of 2.5 lakhs in first month itself.( Currently average of 10K+ per outlet), still did not expanded the number of outlets beyond 8 locations. There is too much scalibility issues, a book could be written on that.

The guys are immature. Having little experience in a domain is not a big problem, being immature is.
The guys did not prepare at all for the pitch. I gave more than a dozen interviews in my career. Everytime, I would go for an interview, I would prepare questions, cross questions which I could be asked. I would myself go through my resume many times and find out my weak points and how to tackle them. This process automatically gives success.
The guys came as a show off with Bhangra and all. Should not have come at such an early stage, and should have prepared thoroughly for the questions. Location, capital is bullshit when scaling up a food business in its nascent stage. There are thousands of examples of small vendors in India who now own big food chains.

I guess they were sort of prepared, thing is the sharks look for that one loophole and cling to it for the rest of the pitch. Apparently, everyone is super hell-bent on Cloud Kitchens and that's what these sharks kept on repeating as well which shows they were never really interested in investing in the business.
@@okayaresd They did not prepare even a bit. Everyone knows that the purpose of new age startups is economy of scale which can be only achieved by having a scalable and standardised process and a killer product. Only cloud kitchens like Box8, Fasoos etc. can achieve this. This is the first thing which you should know and prepare for. If they want to expand shops, why not take a loan from bank or bootstrap their business ? Not all businesses are in startup category. Many Indians still don’t know the difference.
When you go on a show up in front of people who have made it big in the field and ready to listen to your ideas, respect them and their time. It’s not just your words but what you bring to the table which shows respect. If I would go in a presentation with my CEO doing a flashy presentation but without content and not having to put my 200% in it, it would be a sign of disrespect for him. This is professionalism.

One of my town's restaurant which is at highway makes 12-15 lakhs per month.Its normal business.They actually make 20-25 lakh per month on festive months.I m from Assam.And just think once,we don't have that money like Mumbai or Delhi, although they r making such huge money,now that opened a kirana store which is the biggest in our town and sell products on discounts.They generate 100+ employment in their village,they use only cow milk which is from their village's people.

Grover saahab, being a hardcore business, was simply unimpressed and unfazed by this drama.
He was just waiting for this to get over so that he can listen to the pitch and reject it.
Sometimes, I feel that Ashneer outwardly looks uninterested in the presentation, but he is the one who is most keenly looking at it and judging the psychology and body language of the presenters.
For example, in this instance, he looked at their presentation and especially the goatee guy, and deduced that they are trying to overcompensate for their low business figures by trying to woo the judges by this dance-and-dhol extravaganza. Especially the goatee guy (the taller one) was trying to be overly enthusiastic, reminding me of Hrithik from Main Prem ki Deewani hoon, This had me thinking, "Bhai is over-khushmijaazi see tum kya chupaana chaah rahe ho".
