@@madnesscow5570 why are you so butthurt, it just sounds bit odd/not real one. My friend has a fake chinese akrapovic and the sound mathces perfectly. And there is nothing wrong about having a fake one, the real ones are pretty expensive especially for these young lads

I believe it had 25K km. I honestly don't remember how many hours I spent on it.
This yamaha single cylinder engine is so much fun to work on, simple and easy to maintain. In my place, lots of parts are available for this kind of engine from cyl head to crankshaft.
How do you know what goes where? I want a 180cc kit bit im scared of messing up

I am glad I came across your video. I have an issue with my engine on my MT125 and need to take it apart. Could you list the tools you used for the engine such as spanner/socket sizes please? Did you tighten back up to spec or not bothered? Any bolts seized or give you trouble?
It's been some years so i do not remember specific sizes. Everything was done with a very basic spanner and ratchet set from a dollar store. Didn't have a torque wrench at the time.

Took us a few months, just working on it when I had some spare time.

I only wish my yzfr125 was anywhere near as easy to work on. Pretty much every bolt is seized in place. Oh well, it only needs to last me until I pass my A2 license...

What did you actually have to fix to get the bike working again?
Put in a new battery since the old one was dead, re-install the original cylinder with new gaskets, fix the decompression assembly.

Do you know how painful that is, and my mums gonna kick the shit out of my when she see’s my bike in the living room 😅
265 Euros is insane. Fairing alone kosts in good used condition around 500-600 Euros...
in my country they cost from 1500 to 2200€

Should of put a brand new piston in why it was all off not a used one back on 😂😆
The piston I put in was the original piston that was married to the original cylinder we put back on the bike, the bike never ran with the big bore kit installed.

Did you ever find out why it never ran with the big bore kit? It's a straightforward job after all.
The previous owner messed up the installation and destroyed part of the decomp system.
I have a question how much does the engine cost?
I'm not sure how much one of these engines go for. I'm sure they can be found on ebay.
