He ain’t lying about Quik. I been to a lot of concerts/shows and to this day my favorite was Quik at the House of Blues on Sunset. I used to tell people from outta state, they don’t understand the level that Quik is at. Dre was always a big name in the industry. And LA has always admired Dre, but they’ve always loved Quik. He was genuine and unapologetically Compton/LA.

Great point; Quik has surpassed Dre in so many ways. Quik is somewhat a slept on Quincy Jones of his time; referencing his song writing and producing abilities, to be clear. On the other hand, Dre has that aspect of Quincy Jones that worked with the right people, and having so much to do with some of the biggest names in music. Both well accomplished, but Quik is overlooked and underrated from a mainstream standpoint.
