  • Seen here is a ride on a R train, operated by R160, bound for 9th Avenue.
Due to track maintenance south of 59 Street in Brooklyn, the last stop on R train service was 9th Avenue via the D line, only by one stop after 36 Street. Passengers who want to go to Bay Ridge-95th Street would take the N train, stopping at 45 Street and 53rd Street, to 59 Street, where passengers would have to connect to free shuttle bus service to Bay Ridge-95 Street.
The R160 R train featured half the “Cuomo” car with the other being the normal Alstom set. There were some setbacks for me when I was riding, like Jehovahs witnesses on board, and at 14 Street- just when we were leaving, some crazy person just punched the window as I was filming, but I wasn’t really filming him or anybody on the train. But it didn’t affect the outcome of what I got during the ride, plus I just kept my cool to myself since I was just minding my own business during the ride and not paying any attention to anyone else on the train. This is just a usual hobby for me and nothing else.
In the end, this would make its way out back to Manhattan, but going towards Queens Plaza as the last stop since they are still implementing CBTC on Queens Blvd, but I’m not sure if it’s going to continue on since congestion pricing is halted by “government officials”. But it did make its way out of 9th Avenue, switching over to the other side towards Manhattan, where it would make local stops and pass through the Manhattan Bridge since they were doing construction on parts of the Manhattan side of the Montague Street Tunnel. Also, late night R train service would be suspended during that time of reason as well.
    Enjoy!
