- The "Tactical Micro Flex Rig" is finally here!! We've been prototyping, tweaking, modifying, and dialing in our final rig design! We've known from the day we launched the Hog Farmer Tactical Flex Rig years ago, that it would eventually become a series of rigs, designed to help anglers in EVERY situation. The time has come!
The new "Hog Farmer Tactical Micro Flex Rig" bridges the gap between traditional bass fishing, and A-Rig fishing. This compact, little rig is designed to fish with 2" to 3" swimbaits. It can be thrown on spinning gear, bait finesse gear, or traditional bass tackle. The days of being "beat up" by the Alabama Rig are over. We all know the effectiveness of these umbrella rigs but actually fishing them can be cumbersome. Slinging this micro rig is effortless! You can throw it day after day, even if you don't know how to use casting gear.

I have honestly never even fished an a rig. I want to though. Once I retire from the military and move to TN this summer, I should have some extra money to play with, I'm gonna jump in on this. Never thrown an A Rig as my state has a 2 hook max law. How would you set this up for 2 hooks? Just clip a hook from one of the jig heads?

Fantastic news. I've stayed away from A-rigs due to needing a hevy rod and lines and as an old codger, I don't have the strength to do that. These seem perfect for me to get into those lures. You guys are the best!!! Thanks again for all you do to help us catch more fish.

@@tacticalbassin I was using the 3 wire yum rigs with 3 1/16 oz little swimbait heads and 2.5” slim swims, it looked good but the action wasn’t great. I’m sure this one is going to be leaps and bounds better.

I was just thinking how I wanted a guppyhead rig and here we are! My buddy was using them on a smaller A-Rig but I knew we needed something smaller. Fishing primarily lakes with smaller bass, smallmouth and spots this is perfect. The standard rig gets it done but it's too much sometimes so I'd go to a underspin and smash.

I always struggle with getting Z-man baits on a CPS spring but have found a good solution with using Z-man baits on the dummy arms. Take the keeper from the TRD Tail Spinz and and replace the CPS centering pin. Problem solved. You can now easily use Elaztec baits on the dummy arms.

I was so excited for this bait. Watched this video this morning. Just went on tackle warehouse tonight and the second I seen them. I clicked back and for the same price as one of yours, I got 3 Yumbrella Flash Mob Jr. instead. $30 really is ridiculous for a A rig of that size. Like I'm so tired of fishing the past few years turning into a rich mans only sport/recreation. Like I've been following for 8 years and y'all have changed a lot. It's like you must cater to rich people and rich people only. And when you do, do budget shit. It's the same thing over and over and over for years. Like what is fucking wrong with this industry. This year I just picked up the Tactical mini-flex earlier this year and had good success with it ❣️❣️ I am betting this will be a good addition to my arsenal the next few months before the spawn. Hope fully it will be just what I need to increase my production in my Kayak tournaments ! !
I hope Damiki gives you a shout out and some kind of residual fos this ! On your recommendations, I also use Damiki armor Shad for my Tactical mini-flex rigs already so I will now be buying more so I have then around as I go through more of them (I’m anticipating ore baits needing to have on hand !

Just received my rigs. To my surprise there is some flaws / annoyances weird because this is a Tacticalbassin bait. 3 things i wish were changed is. 1. I wish the wires were pre bent for the price this should be a given or atleast make a updated video on how to do it for the newer anglers. And 2. Please please have Hogfarmer include only the split rings pre attached to the rig already. It is super annoying having to cut and break the snaps off since they are in a way permanently attached to the rig especially since alot of us dont carry around wire cutters everywhere lol. I dont even own any actually i had to use and damage my pliers. Its rough. Most of us would prefer just the split rings anyway. And maybe lower the cost a bit since snaps wont have to be included. 3. The main line tie is inconsistent per rig. For example some rigs have the line tie vertical and some are horizontal. Some are just at an angle and loose. I still dont even know what the correct angle its suppose to be is.
Matt, Tim: thanks for putting this one out there - it looks amazing and will likely be killer for both large and smallmouth! For the 1st time ever I am going to try an A-rig setup. I have always shy-ed away from the A-rig for many reasons but things are going to change now with this micro rig. Going to throw it this spring for pre spawn lake erie smallmouth :) - on my MB destroyer brigand spinning setup (hahaha). Spring can't come fast enough.

Please do a breakdown video of bending the wires out when you first receive it.I got the bladed rig yesterday and never used an A rig and not sure how to bend/spread/space. I dont wanna mess up. Cost to much to be careless. Thanks
Just ordered the non bladed. Will have both asa it gets here. I didnt order any of the linked recommendations hooks/baits till this payday and now half of everything was back order. But at least its gonna come eventually.

I jumped all over these this morning. I have replaced every A rig on my boat with the tactical mini flex and now the micro will be even better. I’m excited cause I think it’s something my wife will enjoy with a spinning rod. Keep pumping stuff out!!

I already throw 2.5" on the mini flex, I prefer non bladed most of the time. But sometimes the blades are good to have
Love watching your videos, you guys are sooo informative. I live in TN and they regulate any A-rig with more than 3 baits you're either limited to one hook or any number of hooks as long as they're smaller than a size 6 hook, and they even classify blades as baits... Weird, I know. Have any advice for fishing A-rigs in TN?
We live in Tennessee as well. The law is 3 hooks total, no limit on baits. This rig is compliant 👍🏼
