      Actually, they were all ready to jump those heights. The ponies refused and all girls parr from 1 stayed on. They all had the ability to jump that height

    • @pxrevoid6065
      @pxrevoid6065 Před 5 lety +15

      Nancie Equestrian You say that but I noticed two of the riders didn’t have the correct balance heading to the jumps for almost every jump and their legs swung back the second the horse was in the air causing an unbalanced landing almost every time. Some of these girls rode amazingly especially that little roan type which absolutely flew this chase me Charlie. However I understand it was a year ago and they have probably improved more now but I don’t think they should have been jumping that height unless they had the correct position and leg strength to hold and help carry the horses correctly over the jump.
      They also had no idea how to shorten and lengthen a stride to help a horse over the jump. Merely seemed to just be “passengers” for this event. Especially the girl on the grey and the girl in the pink coat.

      @kalivas4695 Před 4 lety

      So was mine at first. Be patient and try to practice what she/he tells you, like if they tell you to keep your heels down, a really good thing I did to help with that is getting a tall book and standing with the ball of your foot on the book and your heel on the ground, then bend your knees. Another thing that might help is if your foot turns inwards, making it hurt to press your heels down, there are special stirrup pads that you can get. They’re pretty cheep and they help a ton! They’re higher on the outside of the stirrup and lower on the inside, making it hard to turn your foot in. My trainer would only let me jump cross rails and 1 foot fences a couple months ago, now I’m jumping 2.3 to 2.9 courses! I know this was a year ago but just in case you’re still struggling with this :)
