So update for anyone curious, this “highpark” cow is a cross between a highland and white park cow. The cow will get about 42 inches tall and 900-2,000 pounds. It will need at BARE MINIMUM an acre or 5 plus 2-5 more cows. Along with areas to graze. Not to mention it was taken from its mother way to early and possibly will have health problems because of the untested breeding of the two breeds.
Edit: also if they are claiming it’s “micro” it’s still around 35 inches. So up to the hip on me (5’6)

@@pixelzebra8440dogs have been domesticated to live with us humans. Plus they dont have the herd mentality that cows have. Cows naturally would stay in their herd and be close with their mothers for years. Cows can have friends, best friends too.
Dogs however, while they can have friends, don't overly care for their mothers. My parents breed dogs and we have kept mother and children before and there is rarely actually any love there, they just exist together. Although one of our mother and daughter are close and sit together alot. But even then she has another daughter who she doesnt care for at all. Dogs for countless generations have been separated from their mothers once weined and it has become normal to them. Their brains are wired to create bonds with humans.
Cows are not domesticated in this same way in the slightest. They don't crave human interaction. They need to be with their own kind and have the support of their mothers for many years as they would live in the same herd. Think of elephants, for example, who are known for having complex bonds similar to that of cows. The mothers support their children into adulthood, just like cows would. But our barbaric farming methods dont allow the calves to live long enough to be part of a natural herd dynamic.
Comparing cows to dogs is bullshit. They are completely different in many ways. And spamming the same message everywhere won't change anyones mind.
