I'll probably be a welder's hand soon at a job with my brother-in-law. Could someone with experience tell me the best route I could go. It's either option 1: I work as a hand and hope the shop let's me practice welding after I clock out and get questions answered by coworkers. Option 2: I use FAFSA to pay for a year certificate course. Option 3: Work as a hand and read books and study myself. I understand a lot of welding is hands on but I want to learn the science behind welding to feel more confident and learn to fit and such. Thanks ahead of time for the answers, have a blessed day!
