Not just that but even his players achieved greatness in coaching. Zidane had 3 CL in a row. Deschamp won the world cup. Conte won 3 Serie A titles in a row and won the PL in his first year with Chelsea.

Before anyone says yeah he had del piero totti pirlo cannavarro and buffon bare in mind the quality of the opposition in the tournament we are talking about a france team with thuram zidane henry vieIra makelele ribery trezeguet a team who beat a brazil team with ronaldinho carlos ronaldo kaka cafu. That italy team despite having some great individual players was a team it almost seemed as if they could go through tournament losing any player and still beat who ever was in front of them that really is the genius of lippi at work here.

I just read Alex Fergison's autobiography, and he mentions lippi with the highest praise and modeled United on them, him. Seeing this you can see why.

The Juventus squad from 1995-99 was worthy of winning 3 champions league , unfortunately del Piero was unfit to play in both 1997 and 1998 champions league final which costed Juventus dearly,had del Piero been fit then Juventus would have won 3 champions leagues in a row
