I feel like it's also kind of like two villains in opposite positions of a kingdom who will end up competing when their villainous plots cross lol. Like Bettel is a lower class guy seeking some sort of revenge on the world from below, and ERB is a high class villain about to enact some grand plot. This could really be some major musical theatre play lol.
