She let them have it in GEORGIA. The piano man has a nice touch but he couldn’t quite take her hand and walk up the gospel highway like SHE wanted to. EITHER WAY….she left it on the stage. I’d hate to go on after that. Let the church say, amen, and go home and have a soulful meal. Viva LaBelle! Long live PLB!
@@robertbrown7051 ohhh crap! I forgot. It was actually a bonus track included on copies sold at Walmart. It’s been so long I totally forgot about that. But you can still find that recorded version on CZcams easily to listen to. It’s posted.
Go listen to some lazy singing bore asses. I recommend Hateretha, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lizzo, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Britney Spears, and the queen of all lazy singing, Taylor Swift! There you go!
@@nesq4104 no no no I know the behind the scenes about that necklace Usher's ex-wife claims that she lost it if you see the latest necklace around her neck that's the necklace he paid for! She allowed her to wear it at her wedding to Usher and then it somehow came up missing?!
This is an amazing performance by Patti, but I'm curious, this performance had to be from years ago not thirteen days. Because Patti's voice is not as strong now. There is no way she can sing this song like that today. Because the voice just isn't there. I love her, but it's the truth. Sorry.
Her vocal decline started during this time. I really noticed it at her 2005 special. Idk what happened. But she has had 35-40 years vocal longevity up until that point. My hypothesis is menopause, HRT, and wear and tear.
If she could sing exactly like this at 78, then she might be a witch, but since she's only human the actually still sounds lovely and that's why she's still on tour
@@ninevahkeith Yes, I know this. I wasn't being disrespectful. Let me be clear I am, was, and always will be a fan of hers. And I'd rather listen to her sing than half of the half naked, no talent, trash these days flouncing around on the stage. But the facts is just facts. The voice just isn't there. And when you had a voice as big and powerful as Patti's it's difficult to listen to her try to hit those notes. But like you said she's been blowing us away for 50 years and during that time I think she was a witch or a mutant. Because her voice at times seem inhuman. It just breaks my heart, because it's a constant reminder that all things must come to an end. But I will be a fan until I breathe my last breath and long after she's gone. Because there will never be another Patti Labelle. Never.
Wow the one and only. Patti Labelle is the greatest vocalist of our time. I can think of noone who matches her power.
Amen sing it Ms. Patti I love you.

@@TeomEra I think she said she put it in her luggage and it was stolen at an airport. It was an expensive diamond necklace gifted to her

Way too much reverb.
