37 years with JD. I’m out. DONE. I have very little power in this country. As in none. No say. My vote is all I have and although I cherish it it has no power as an individual. BUT…..I can vote with my wallet. And I intend to do so. In a big way.
I call it the Dixie Chicks effect. Why would you alienate the majority of your consumer base? Or at the very least, put them in a position where they need to evaluate your company based on something other than what you produce? It’s just a terrible business decision.
Here’s something you won’t hear many people acknowledge… American companies are no longer run by Americans, so they do not hold American values. I have worked decades for a Global company that is in the top 200 on the Fortune 500 list and the demographics and promotional practices of upper management paints a clear picture on the decisions being made and of our future.
One example- upper managers promoted from a certain region suddenly lower our inter company transfer premium (mark up) to their region “so we can stay competitive in that region” That makes the US business less profitable which in turn supports the business decision to move the manufacturing to that region. Then we end up buying the product back from that region at the same price as we were making it here before but with the lost jobs and American values.
Can’t have loyalty to companies that don’t have loyalty to you.
I don't drink anhieser bush I don't buy at target and I won't buy John deere.
Yep. Thousands per year out of my wallet do not go to bud now. It’s wasn’t about punishing bud as much as it is a warning to others. I respect all peoples right to live as they wish, gay, trans, or as an alien cat, but you will respect my right to live as I want to.
People are not buying John Deere, not because of the work agenda, is their prices and their parts and their rules. You could get a better tractor with less headache.
And you can’t spell either
Amen Brother I'm with you there
Sounds like the start of a new Country Music song!!
I won’t speak to the political/non-professional PR aspect… but I believe the big 2 tractor companies are in a “race to the bottom”. The smaller brands are becoming disruptive enough within the marketplace, that Deere and Kubota have no choice but to react… I believe we will see the tractor market become more competitive in the coming years. If I’m in the market for a tractor, I would be paying attention to which brands are growing and which brands are shrinking.
I will say… it is upsetting to see an American brand make moves that don’t align with their legacy identity.
ou would be surprised how much of JD equipment is made in the EU, and south Korea, along with japan. They dug the hole they are in. JD is over priced and the attitude of the Company stores is terrible , unless you are a multi million $$$$ farmer
Well said!
Brock… let’s just cut to the chase here. John Deere CEO needs his $30 million instead of just 27. The greed is unreal especially when workers want fair wages but we can’t cut our CEO costs instead we put that on the customers. $30 million a year isn’t enough?!?
That is only 14,423 dollars per hour! Kind of hard to survive on that!
lol, take a look before May took over. “Nothing ran like a Deere”
Farmers and rural America don't spend our time concerned over social issues. We have neighbors, family, faith, and country. Social media is not social and has been deteriorating the fabric our nation. When an iconic company like John Deere doesn’t have the courage to push back against shareholders like Vanguard and Blackrock and funds social activism, they have compromised their values over money. If your values don’t align with mine, you’re not getting through the front gate. Doesn’t sit well with me, but my family’s hard earned income is going elsewhere. Thank you Brock for your sharing your insight and opinions.
We went from Queer beer to Queer Deere!
😂
Drinking bud while driving a deere, definitely queer!

I bought a Kubota M-6 141 in 2018. Before I "pulled the trigger" I did price check on the "green" and "blue" brands (American) The "blues" were 15-18K more The "greens" were 20-25K more. So I bought Japanese orange with the exact same specs (better fuel efficiency) and waaaay better price point!!!! Cost and service is a big deal to rural people with a diminishing bottom line and ever increasing input costs!!!!
My closest neighbor has a late 90's Kubota M9580 that's been sitting split in half at the dealer since December waiting and waiting on transmission parts. Dealer has no idea on when it will be repaired, needs the tractor to run the discbine and unable to without the tractor and can't afford a new one.
Kubota USA has four manufacturing plants in Hall County, Georgia, is building one more and they have at least one plant 50 miles down the road in neighboring Gwinnett County, Georgia. So, while they are technically "Japanese" many are manufactured here in the state of Georgia, USA.
@@carrolllee9972 I kinda knew that, I was told when I purchased or noticed the tag on the loader said made in USA
With our country selling out to the rest of the world in every way. It’s hard to support America or what’s left of it. I have some older John Deere that have always bothered me being on the farm. I did purchase a Massey Ferguson because our Kabota dealer closed. When Japanese car and tractor dealers are supporting more American jobs than American dealers I don’t know what to say. Besides go grow something worth eating you’re worth it.
@@organiccleanfoodconnection I support the beef industry and I eat same product, nothing better for you or in flavor, my opinion of course!!!! I have primarily on a carnivore diet, feel way way better and have lost some weight and do not have inflammation issues or arthritic issues either!!!

With layoffs and years of fighting farmers right to repair showed me Deere could care less about it’s customers. Overpriced to begin with. If I had one I’d source as many parts aftermarket outside of Deere. They would get little to nothing. Glad I never bought one.
Right to repair should have had JD dead ten years ago, Americans are stupid though and don't care, just buy a color. Sadly it takes this to wake people up.
Supreme Court said you don’t have a right to repair that fight is over.

Nov 27 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Monday said Deere & Co (DE.N), opens new tab must face claims from crop farms and farmers that the agricultural machinery maker has unlawfully conspired to restrict services for maintenance and repair.
U.S. District Judge Iain Johnston in Rockford, Illinois, rejected, opens new tab Deere's effort to dismiss consolidated lawsuits accusing the Moline, Illinois-based company of violating U.S. antitrust law.
The judge said the plaintiffs had met legal thresholds to pursue their claims.
"According to the complaint's allegations, Deere has the ultimate control of the repair services market," Johnston wrote in his 89-page order. "These allegations are not mere legal conclusions. The complaint is chock-full of factual allegations to support this conclusion."
Deere has denied the allegations and will have a chance at a later stage in the case to dispute the merits of the farmers' claims.
A Deere spokesperson and attorneys for the company at Jones Day on Monday did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
A lead plaintiffs' attorney in the case, Daniel Hedlund of law firm Gustafson Gluek in Minneapolis, said they "look forward to continuing to pursue the claims of their farmer clients in this right to repair antitrust case."
The case is part of a growing push from consumers and others challenging restrictions on maintenance and repair. A U.S. judge in California this month dismissed a right-to-repair case against Tesla but said drivers could refile an amended complaint.
The Biden administration broadly has backed a federal legislative effort to end restrictive repair practices, which critics argue raises costs for consumers.
In the Deere litigation, six prospective class actions were consolidated last year before Johnston. The cases allege Deere has conspired with dealerships to control where and how machines are maintained and repaired.
The complaint, opens new tab said farmers are "prevented from using trusted, less expensive, and more conveniently located skilled mechanics who are not affiliated with Deere."
Lawyers for Deere have argued that only a "small subset" of repairs must be done at Deere-authorized dealerships. The company told the court that it has "never hidden" that some repairs require the company's dealers.
In a filing, opens new tab, the lawyers said federal antitrust law does not require "Deere to give all of its proprietary repair tools and software to anyone who happens to want them."
The case is In re: Deere & Co Repair Service Antitrust Litigation, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, 3:22-cv-50188.
I won't be buying johndeere.
thats why we buy case ih and kubota equipment now
Just so everyone knows, Bill Gates Owen's 51% of John Deere stock, is he calling the shots? Pretty frustrated with John Deere and Bill Gates. Maybe we should make John Deere employee owned!!!
It's 3.8%, where do you people get your info? Hell, the largest shareholder is Vanguard, and they own 7.8%. Geez, all this stuff is reported, all you have to do is read.
I bought two LS tractors at the same time 2 years ago and saved the whopping $30,000 over the comparable name brand tractors and I couldn't be happier. I have 1,000 hours on them now and they have been fantastic. Yes the dealer support is a little lackluster but I saved $30,000! Is "dealer support" worth $30,000? Not to me.....
TYM tractors are assembled in Caldwell, TX by some hard working God fearing Texas Boys.
That’s what I moving to. In part because of this channel.
@randalllamb1115 Tires and wheels, Third functions are USA made.

Where did you come up with TYM are assembled in Caldwell, Tx.? Everything I see there are 2 assembly locations, Waverly, Oh. and Williston, Fl.

@@RockhillfarmYT I live in Texas also, I can find has NO mention of this being an assembly location. I know he is a dealer, but assembled? Does the Tractor Yard get tractors from him?
My exact thoughts Brock. Thanks for doing this video and getting the word out.
John Deere and other companies do not need to and should not be involved in social issues. Great video !
I would never buy a John Deere, way overpriced, crappy service, and as you said, they are not willing to let the farmer work on it. They are also laying off over 600 people I heard.
I recently decided not to buy a John Deere excavator for this reason. A guy can only put up with so much before he takes his money elsewhere. My JD dealer is 15 minutes from my house. The next closest equipment dealer is over an hour away. I'll deal with the driving time and do away with the woke stuff. Good video, Brock.
I always liked the green and yellow, but to be honest I could never afford what they charge. I have a TYM T25 and it is everything I could need and more for under $20000. TYM is definitely doing things right! I hope that never changes! Thank you Brock!
I do not understand why John Deere is being criticised for embracing DEI. Dale Earnhardt Incorporated is a fine organization.
Great job presenting this. When I purchased my JD 2032R, JD was the only dealer in my area with 2 dealerships within a half hour. Since then we now have a Kubota, Kioti, TYM, Mahindra and Bobcat dealers so many more choices. I suspect this is the case in more and more areas and decisions like this are certainly going to alienate customers. I hope JD gets the message.
Good points Brock. I grew up driving my Dad’s JD B. I’ve owned a 955, 2720, and now a 4066R. Just purchased an LS MT573 and like you, probably won’t be able to sell my 4066R for anywhere close to what I believe it’s worth. For all the reasons you mentioned, I have a hard time believing that I’ll ever purchase another JD product. Given the choice, I simply won’t support their agendas and policies. While I’d like to see everything built in the USA, we have to accept that we are living in a global economy. I’m extremely happy with my LS…full featured and very capable for 10’s of thousands less than a comparable JD or Kubota. I’ve compared them all. I can’t be convinced that JD or Kubota are that much better in features, capacities, or quality to justify a few thousand dollars difference, let alone 10’s of thousands.
Yanmar's are designed and built in Adair Ga.
If I had to do it all over again I’d have bought a Yanmar cab tractor instead of my 2038R
I have a Yanmar SA 325 and love it. It’s a little beast. Also have a Yanmar vio35 mini excavator. So much bang for the buck !
Don't need to love them for the 'logo.' Deere is the ag version of Disney/ESPN now. Don't be afraid to divorse the brand that is no longer the same co.
Peer pressure on the citizens, companies etc.anti bibical value
People's mindless obsession with color, including tractors, is like voting democrats into office no matter what, even the president we have now. Think a little people.
You seem obviously incapable of thinking. But here you are telling others to think. Actually, try researching Biden`s accomplishments so far. Well never mind on that. It seems it would be too hard for you to comprehend real actual FACTS.
You maybe, what?
I heard 640,000 people will be losing their jobs what's that going to do to our US economy
They over priced themselves out of the market. Part prices are ridiculous
So, I've been contemplating moving up in size from my 1025r to the 3r series in the next year or so. My wife said "When are you putting all your John Deere stuff out by the road for sale?" when this was first brought to light... Was fooled into thinking the resale value was always gonna be there or at least have something to pass on that my grandkids would be proud to own.
Enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and your family
When I large company like Deere goes public on political and social ideology, it openly solidifies it's stance on said issues. There is no coming back from that. Your three points Brock indicate they have turned their backs on the loyal bread and butter owners and as well as wrote off all the loyal Deere supporters of the last 100 plus years. What else is there to say? It is what it is.
It takes a lot of gumption to get your opinion out there for everyone to see. I applaud it and it's frequently a great thinking morning with my coffee. Keep it up. It's always interesting to hear and always heartening to know that there are those that really care out there. Sometime we get caught up in our own crap and fail to stop and look around see how lucky and blessed we are to live in this country.
I totally agree with everything you said Brock.
The lowest cost equipment that does the job has a better resale value than the most expensive equipment option.
Example: when both tractors are equivalent in capability, then a $60,000 tractor that has a higher resale value is less financially viable than a $38,000 tractor that has a lower resale value.
At this rate I'll be going back to plowing with an ox, digging with a shovel, wearing homemade clothes, and drinking moonshine. I boycott a new company every week.
Unless it's a 750 with a pony motor at the newest, I don't want that John Deere tractor. The 750 has options that you find on tractors today, some of which are now standard. Dual remotes, live PTO, 3-point hitch, and possibly a few others. The 750 also has a narrow front option where the two front tires are directly under the centerline, which allows for tighter turns than the wide front version can pull off. For some stupid reason, you won't see the narrow front configuration on new tractors. The 750 also has a drum on the transmission that spins whenever the clutch is engaged, which allows you to run belt drive equipment, and I love having the option in case I need it. You need an adaptor for your PTO to run equipment like that with a new tractor, and that's just another attachment to keep track of when you need to do an itemized deduction on your taxes, which can be enough of a clusterfuck with very few pieces of equipment. In summary, I'll gladly take a lever clutch over fancy doodads and luxury comfort items. John Deere has gone too far trying to compete with other companies.
Not only americans buy john deere alot of deeres are made in germany its a world wide market
I have a JD 3025e and I love it. Getting it worked on is a trip, not easy at all, and it's expensive.
Looking at TYM because of their tractor, not because I'm mad at JD. Wasn't going to buy another JD anyway.
That deere running away, there is more value in TYM,Marhindra,LS,Kubota, cost less and works as hard .

Are they changing the name to “Juan Deere” now? 😂
Your analogy with the kid makes sense. The only difference for me is that i never loved JD.
OK, in your case, John Deere is like that neighbor kid who broke your window out and lied about it
Haha. Sounds about right We just bought a CTL. We looked hard at the JD you had. We ended up getting A New Holland. It actually has a diagnostic tool built into the screen. Didn't even know that was a feature until we got it and started messing with it. It doesn't just give you a code. It tells you what the code means and what potential issues the machine might be having. We were blown away.
tractor time with Tim brought this up yesterday and I hope that JD corporate listens and makes some changes quickly before they are forced to lose , lose, and lose more
Looks like as of now TTWT took the video down.
Well said Brock. I agree with you 100% . Thanks for speaking out I respect you for doing so.
I do understand the right to repair because of how advance these tractors are now its not like the 70s and 80s when you could pull the engine and transmission with out using special tools
I looked for months for a new tractor. I looked at Deere, Kubota, Kioti, LS. I liked them all. Looking at Deere’s website I had to double check to see if I was in the right place. You can tell the wokeness was running deep. Did not look like a farming/landowner site at all. I bought a Kubota. I like Japanese products and they all stand the test of time. I own an older Deere too. Just a shame. A company can’t just do business and leave the rest of the crap alone.
Very well done. One of your best !!!
Great Information. God bless
Very well said!
I feel what you are saying and I pray that all of our fellow Americans we be ok I hope John Deere is proud of them selves
I sure am glad that it’s the want to be farmers that own mostly foreign tractors are the ones who are the experts on this subject.
It's because they're thoughtful and don't have a juvenile love affair with a giant global corporation 😂
If Americans buy made in America only, the problem goes away. Companies will stay in America. But no. We Americans want the cheaper made in Korea, Japan, China, India. Just buy American. Very simple.
@@stevejerebic9072 not even close to that simple 🤣 you'll buy what we tell you and you'll like it 🤣
Great arguments, Brock!
Love my tractor. But the technical support I got from quality equipment was lackluster at best. If I see Dylan Mulvaney on a J. Deere commercial I will sell my tractor at a loss ASAP.
Kubota been building there’s in Gainesville Georgia along with there mowers and a lot of their attachments
I see more used John Deers for sale than I do any other tractor brand. I like my Kubota.
So long John Deere obviously you weren't watching the last couple years with Bud lite and Target
JD Series 1 thru 4 are built in Augusta Ga
The brands you mentioned are built in the south where regulations are fewer and the labor is non-union.
Brock just wanted to bring this up. From what I have read, it is only the skid steer and compact track loaders that are being moved. All the rest of the deere lineup is still US made. So all compact and sub compact will still be US made. Just all the skid steer lineup are moving. Not saying it's right they are moving just wanted to clear that part up.
I was screaming at the tv “but they’re more expensive than the competition they better be made here”… then you said it. Well said sir! I’m a giant green fan and this hurts. I’m digging into the woke stuff I don’t know the details yet. I own a landscaping company that runs Deere and if I don’t like what I hear I won’t be.

Wow, spot on comments. John Deere would be wise to listen to you....but, I doubt they will. I just bought TYM 474C........go red, John Deere will wake up ...maybe ....if enough people do go red. Subscriber from Iowa.
Unfortunately they are on the mess around and find out track. Living in and being from Iowa its sad to the legacy that has been build be torn apart. Great video brock i appreciate the facts!
I own a John Deere but have no plans to sell or trade it in. I’ll still do business with the very local dealer (the main reason I went with Deere). Heck, I have three Everything Attachments implements . . . and look what happened there.

Oh. I know. I just bought a john deere z760r HC pro 60cut 27hp kawasaki with the bagger system and the next week after getting it they were in the news about lay offs started coming out and now this. Seams like all big companies are doing this. Ford , GM, parent company to Ram did the same thing a while back. But I agree with you but also we all know John deere won't go backwards on stuff because they're Big and greed is tugging on pockets.
All of this stuff is basically forced by financial institutions as a requirement for loan guarantees with the idea of manipulating stock markets. Money is made when the market moves up or down. The key is “knowing” that it’s going to happen.
The reason JD took that path is they are in financial trouble begging for loans from the big banks tying strings via 'metrics' to those loans, which alienate customers and accelerate the demise of brands.
I worked at a jd plant and we had trouble out of alot of machines out of Mex the ones from Japan worked fine

Well said Brock I agree with you
As a salesman at a Dealership that sells John Deere, I couldn't agree with you more. I can tell you the men an women working at the dealerships agree with you too. This is all BS on John Deere's part. They don't have to sit in front of Farmers, residential, or commercial guys busting their butts to earn a buck and it shows that they don't know (or care) about their customers.
You spoke the truth. Companies are being persuaded by their banks to go woke. I don’t understand why any company would clearly and blatantly go against their customers values, it’s terrible for business. Those banks must have a lot of influence
it's kindof like a custom home, the more you have it spec'd for exactly what you want, the harder it is to find a buyer
I’m down to just my John Deere round baler Sold everything else when I couldn’t afford theirs replacement parts and the shitty service from the parts department. Seemed like everything I was there to pick up parts, they just happened to have a salesman nearby to show me their new and improved equipment. Just think if you bought new then you would’ve been able to keep working and not working on our old junk. They must think that farmers have unlimited money to spend on their parts and equipment. Don’t even get me started on the new computer systems because they can shut these new machines down and theirs not a damn thing you can do about it. Only a fool would buy their stuff.
So sad when companies that helped build this country and make it work are taken over by people who think they have to push their agenda on EVERYONE else. Build or manufacture or sell your product and do your business and leave social agendas out of it. Otherwise suffer the consequences. Unfortunately those of us loyal to the brand suffer too. I was born and raised on the farm 95% JD equipment still had the 1949 JD A that my dad had and the 1945 JD grain drill he bought when I sold the farm a few years ago. And you could still get parts for them. I bet that will go away too. So sad.

I only had Red toys and red tractors. Blood bleeds red. CIH needs to work on toy and small equipment marketing. I am anti John-Deere. Lol so I guess they get to sleep in the bed they made now.
It's just a matter of time before your red company does the same thing... If they haven't already.
John Deere was one the tractor on my short list when was looking for a sub compact. The tractor was 5000 more. Every attachments cost more for loader. The biggest thing was I couldn’t get the sales person in two store give me the time of day. I bought little massy and it been great little tractor.
Exactly the way I feel.
john deere and others are driving small farmers/ ranchers out due to the big tech stuff, some of us can not afford anything extra
Remember when GM moved some of their manufacturing to Mexico. That didn't work so well for them. Now they are back. It took them a few years to figure it out. Hopefully JD will learn quicker.
Waiting to see what happens to the plant in Valley City North Dakota.
Lots of John Deere dealers here.
Any price comparison to John Deere for a Utility Tractor should be tmade to the JD 5E Series. The JD 5E Series offers high performance at lower costs. The 5E Series is assembled in India. In my recent search for a Utility Tractor, the onlyJD tractors that were somewhat competetive on price and performance was the JD 5E Series. All other JD Tractors were not competetive on price and/or performance. I did not chosse a JD 5E tractor, but I gave it a lot of thought. All other JD product lines did not merit any consideration..
