  • On this day we did our "Big Shop" at the Publix supermarket near Windermere in Orlando FL.
We are going the compare the prices and choice to our Walmart "Big Shop" we did a few weeks ago
We start with the fresh produce and take you round the entire store , cereal, meats, dairy, tinned food , bog roll and sweets.
Once home we tot up how much this all cost and compare it to our Walmart shop and see how the prices have increased in the past months..

We bought our Sun Pass windscreen transponder from Publix. They also do a cheaper version we found in April this year so we fetched one home for the families trip in September. Might be worth showing the travelling Brits who are unaware of Toll Roads if you have the time Barry.
We also find that the ranges of Cheese is better at Publix than at Walmart, they have Irish and Ilse of Mann mature cheddars which I like. And, at the risk of spending a bit more we definitely like the shopping experience more at Publix than at Walmart, the staff are much more friendly. As the TV add says, "Publix, where shopping is a pleasure".

I really enjoyed watching this! I find Publix is one of the more expensive supermarkets in Florida, but I do love to have a look around to see what different foods they have to Walmart and other shops. They got way more expensive ages ago and now cuz covid. $7.49 for a thin limited edition white chocolate bar. Do thin flat ugh. The strawberries aweful & I rather get organic at trader Joe's or Sprouts or other health place & I didn't see good at the whole foods yet. I need to go look. But a farm land go solar, etc grow own food pesticide free. It's vegetables not vigtables or vigtables is the eh sound not ee sound. They don't taste like used to. I was just there Wed. I wish I had gone back to get the sake two for $3?99 the good tortilla big packs etc sales, but leave something to spend at elsewhere for drinks too at Walmart etc. You pay for convenient. Those are not so soft or ripe. I miss a good honey dew, cantelope, etc. I bought the red looking, etc if you want ripe sweet fruits looks really good. Closely even if easy to see from far. I know usually anyhow to pick. Look around. I like instant coffees plys others stores used to have it now I don't think they dim only Publix to grind own. I like healthier type cereals usually. Trader Joe's granola is best in milk. I use it as cereal. Gold fish used to be okay now not all that. There is a lady from Britain ik & bus driver that's retired. Such nice people. They played John Secada my fave song that made him famous now I hear ones I liked on here. Get the chocolates Cadbury at CVS when BOGO. If not a good price I don't buy. Olive oils $17-$23 crazy. Like to get one that taste good & good quality. Idk anymore ugh. Horrible. Shop at Walmart & even there it's bad. Go to save allot, but not much there at small one near me. I don't want to get their meats nor fish, etc. Id have to go far to buy at the bigger ones so idk. 😩. Boxed stuff turns to sugars even if salty. Casava chips healthy expensive I heard at sprouts but amazing. Someone had me try from their small bag. I don't do chip always but love them. No rished through ice cream my fave section. Besides bJed goods & cookies chips crackers. Deli meats deli fresh used to be so good expensive now. Also, love trader Joe's. Only oven baked honey turkey. Also is another good store in part for drinks & some things. Time to go back to basics. Beast feed ladies. Omg. Colgate, etc cheap brands became expensive. The $1 store mouthwash okay. I like the havendar natural at Trader Joe's it was gone so had to change brand. Minty one of other brand. Natural. Sort of. I dint use reg. Head & shoulders was cheap & like I had to use Walmart brand. I love 2% milk. They say buy a big yogurt plain sugarless etc then add fruit. I don't like that not good taste to me. I don't like jam that has seeds. I like jelly l. Dr oz did an expose on yogurts. So I dint recall all, but I got for the price & taste how much you get for the price. I dint but always. I haven't had it in ages. I always like my mil in cooker bag & all the cold stuff cuz not good to transport even a sec not in cold.
