He and 'James Garner' were two (2) good looking men from Oklahoma. Good looks and distinct voices. They were two of a kind.

Great guy and a western staple in film and television. There was just somethin' about him that made him so likeable and believable. A real cowboy indeed and a good guy always fighting on the right side. RIP Dale🌟🙏

What a fantastic biography of a macho man who ended up getting right with God and the precious holy Spirit helped him kick the alcohol problem and he went on to make family-friendly Flix for the rest of his life. What a stimulating, encouraging, encouraging biography. Good job thank you so much and thank you Jesus.

In 1971, 7 or 8 of us teens saw him and his wife looking in windows on Palm Springs main drag. Very nice man. Chatted with us for a few minutes. He then said good bye and we all went on our way. Now all these years later I think he’s a brave man! Imagine how his mind was racing with a pack of delinquent looking teens surrounding him. I enjoyed his movies and tv shows and I will always remember that evening.

He invited me to his Oklahoma ranch. Being a young horse owner, I wrote him a letter about his TV show. A horse education show Sat morning.
He answered it & invited me to come see his horses. His brother Chad would welcome me. He ran the ranch.
    Still have the letter.
But never went, parents weren't interested in going. I was just a kid.

A basically good man, but he was unlucky in love. I believe he had four wives. He was a genuine war hero. He was awarded the Silver Star and the Bronze Star for heroism in World War II. He was also awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in action.

Yukon, Oklahoma not Arizona. Harrah, Oklahoma. Met him several times in everyday living. Polite, quiet and friendly. His horses were beautiful and his ranch was frequently visited by notables. He held charity events at the ranch. Well respected and well liked by Oklahomans.

If he hadn't smoked cigarettes he would have lived to be an old man. When he played the part of Jim Hardie in 'Tales of Wells Fargo', I never missed an episode. I was left-handed, and he was the first cowboy I saw wearing a 'left-handed' gun belt. So I was a fan from the start. He and Mike Landon, as 'Little Joe' Cartwright on 'Bonanza', were the only two I can recall who used their left hand to shoot.

Dale Robertson was at Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore OK on a football scholarship. He didn't do very well with cadet life and acquired a dubious record that remained even when I attended some many years later in the 60s. You see, if you were at athlete at the time you didn't have to work off punishment tours for misbehavior while your sport was in season. Since Dale was a terrific athlete, he never worked off a single punishment tour and was know has King Con because held the all-time record for the most punishment tours ever accrued by one cadet.......My Kind of Guy! God Bless Dale Robertson.

Dale also had a traveling stage show in the early 60s. A family friend played in the band. When the show came to our area of course we went to see it. Our friend arranged for us to meet Dale. He was a lovely man and he and my dad swapped war stories. This 12 yr old girl had bragging rights for the whole school year

Too bad, he couldn't be faithful to his wives. Other than that he seemed to be a decent man. A former professional boxer who had won 90% of his bouts, was awarded a purple heart and the bronze star in World War II. No wonder his character, Jim Hardy, in "Wells Fargo, was believable as a tough as nails agent for the stagecoach company.
