This track is about the difficulty of change. On the one hand it is very difficult to accept. The industries we work in shift, relationships end, the enthusiasm with which we used to face the world turns to cynicism. It’s easy to feel the urge to dig your heels into the ground and beg the world not to change.
On the other hand we grow tired of the transformations that take longer. The continued crumbling of our cities’ infrastructure, patched up with the same bandaid over and over again, the empty promises and hidden agendas behind those who rise to power under the guise of good intentions. It’s easy to feel like nothing will change, so sometimes I just need to witness natural inevitable change like the changing leaves of autumn or concrete shifting phases from liquid to solid, to accept that things must change, but that it takes time.
