I love the toner too!! The smell is not that strong (to ME) compared to an unbearable fragrance like the face shops rice cleansing oil, or even the mixsoon bean cleansing oil, so it's worth giving a try ❤
Same!! This is my all-time favorite toner! And I'm usually sensitive to fragrance and prefer fragrance-free skincare, but this doesn't bother me at all. To me, the scent is just a very mild citrus. Highly recommend for people who want to include fermented ingredients in their routine! #kbeauty

I bought the Bloomeffects Tulip Dew Drops because I saw it in one of your past videos & I was intrigued. I’d never heard of them before, but I’m really happy I gave them a try! I love the Dew Drops, it’s a serum that feels almost like a moisturizer. My usually-dry skin has been doing so well lately, thanks to your excellent recommendations!
The Royal Tulip🌷 Nectar from Bloomeffects is an A-Z 0-100/ "do it all" product!!!! Irritated itchy or dry flaking skin? ✔️ compromised skin barrier when EVERYthing stings- ✔️ with zero burn! Occlusive layer that doesn't feel too heavy or cause breakouts?-✔️ want silky smooth supple dewy skin? Royal🌷Nectar will do that too!! Although, if you have extremely oily or breakout acne prone skin I would suggest trying(trial or travel sz) before blind purchasing a full(it's not cheap.)
I had to look it up, because I thought the same thing, but it's an US based brand. They ship to here, but you have to pay $35 shipping plus taxes 😢. So all we can do is put our faces in the tulips at Keukenhof I guess 🤣
I trust your recommendations with my life I am a *broke* college girly, but I want to have beautiful skin so badly. Anything you talk about goes onto my list of things to get, so whenever I run out of something, I can try something else that I *trust* will be amazing -- even if my skin doesn't like it, I know it will at least be super good. Love you, James
I lost 70lbs and I’ve had twins- i have a TON of excess skin and it still angers me to see the snake oil products that get pitched to post weight loss communities. Most cannot afford skin removal surgery and it’s incredibly hard to get it covered by insurance, so people end up spending their hard earned money on products that, if they’re lucky, do nothing to their skin.
I used to have the same problem with the numbuzin no.3 toner. The smell was too strong when I first opened it but since I’ve bought it might as well used it right? I don’t know of the smell has gone away or my nose have gotten used to it, but its no problem for me now and I really love the glow it gives my skin, especially under make up
I completely agree regarding the scent of that Numbuzin No 3 Toner, but I use it twice a week before a high care support shift (disability) where I find my face sweats with anything else on it. I found a place for it in my routine which stops me having to ditch it, and I’m happy with that, stops money just going into the bin. I was so surprised by it as the No 3 serum is my daily go to!
I often add a few drops of glycerine to a moisturiser when I have an eczema flare-up or my skin is just really dry, but it doesn't make sense to use it on it's own, especially if It's a very dry day, because it draws moisture from the easiest place, so from inside the skin rather than outside on a dry day. I used to make a lot of my own creams in the past, back in the days when you just couldn't get anything safe for eczema-prone skin that didn't require taking out a second mortgage. Most of the stuff the doctor gave me made it much worse and really dry! These days, you can find loads of options, including drugstore brands using good ingredients, plus apps which can give you a run down of good and bad ingredients contained in many products. On the otger hand, the choice is bewildering. 😅
The Numbuzin No. 3 toner is so good. I actually hate rose smell in skincare but this doesn't bother me & it doesn't linger as well. The Bioderma micellar water does not smell like orange. To each their own. “That’s your issue not mine” can also be said to you.
Your skin looks beautiful -- like glass. There once was another good body product: Boscia Peptide Youth Restore Firming Body Serum. It had no smell, was very moisturizing, and made my skin so smooth. Too bad they are gone. They had no advertising, so no one knew which products to try or use.
I have begrudgingly finished the numbuzin n3 toner because I too couldn’t stand the fragrance in it and I think it kinda irritated my skin, not so much that I couldn’t use it, but it didn’t feel that great. I’m back to my trusted haruharu black rice toner, the only brightening toner that WORKS
I totally agree the Numbuzin toner essence smells terrible. It reminded me of citrus cleaning products. and the formula also pilled like crazy on me for some reason. Hated this product
I love the vegetable glycerin personally it’s amazing. You have to have damp hands or add a couple of drops of water to it before applying, it turns into a lightweight serum
Can you recommend skin care for more mature skin? I just turned 40, and I know I need to be better at my skincare, but I don't know what really works and what doesn't. Is retinol good and necessary? ❤😊
I’m 49 and after hearing James talk about peptides I started using argirilene on my forehead, around the eyes, and just on those nose to mouth lines (I don’t know what they’re called). And alpha arbutin on the rest of my face. After 12 weeks there is a noticeable difference in my fine lines and discoloured patches, they don’t disappear completely but you can see a decent difference. I got both from The Ordinary, and a little goes a long way. I plan to try retinol once I’ve used up these serums just to see how that works out, but I do really like these I’m using now. Of course everyone’s skin is different, I just wanted to share what has been good for my skin as a more mature lady 🙂💜🖤💜

Hey James, curious if you’ve ever used the brand APLB and what your opinion on them is? I recently bought their line and I’m thinking they can replace Glow Recipe but I’m a tad nervous!
You are not supposed to use pure glycerin it does dry your skin out like you noticed. If you want to use uo that product you can do something Dr. Idriss recommends. Mix a little bit of the glycerin with water in a mister and mist your face with it to hydrate it.
Have you tried the Mielle rosemary and mint hair oil yet? I just got some when I was on holiday in New York because I'm a fool who believes too many TikToks, I really wasn't impressed with it!
That Numbuzin -- why does nobody talk about the smell?!?! I thought I was losing my mind! I tried it based on the recommendation of a CZcams derm who's steered me right in the past. I canNOT get past that intense fragrance, it's like bathing your face in perfume.

James! It's so nice to see you enthusiastic about skincare again. (Maybe it's me, but lately, I've felt like we were watching you readying yourself to exit this space - which would break my heart.) But dear boy (horrible boy?) at 15:00, did you just say, "Let's talk about my shits?" I had to stop watching to ask you. You'll never answer, of course, because I've asked my question too far after you published the video, but I swear that's what you said. Regardless, something about this video made me feel like you're back. And I love that you're back. I can't wait to try (some of) the products you've reviewed. Thank you, dear.
Oh right. This was "Hits and Shits." Never mind. I know you have IBS, so when you said, "Let's talk about my shits," at first I thought the glycerin had set of your guts. I'm very stupid. Carry on.
I have a loved with an IBD,@@JamesWelsh. When you have IBS or an IBD, so many things can set it off. For a half second I thought, "Well, glycerin is in suppositories."
The only thing that makes me pause with ANY product, is the phrase "proprietary blend". Apparently, unless things have changed, there is no legal definition for this and a company can put the listed ingredients in any percentage. You cannot be guaranteed a homogeneous blend and consistency from the same product
LMAO 🤣 the shits are hilarious. Oh no, I have a Numbuzin no. 3 toner coming in the next couple days. I’m soo curious now. I love, love the brand. The No. 5 line and No. 6 serum are holy grails for me. Thank you James for sharing. Love your videos. ❤❤❤
Yet another reason to never use TikTok. I hate people giving the insecure this false hope that rubbing some overpriced glycerin on their skin is going to reverse severe stretch marks, sagging skin, and make them looked IG filtered photographs at twenty in real life when they're my age. I use a lot of different products, some that help my skin look better, but at fifty, even the best, most luxurious & expensive science-backed products and tools cannot eliminate scars, sagging skin, or reverse age lines like injectable procedures or surgical corrections do. Some of these products they're shilling literally destroy healthy skin, or create issues that can take years to undo. I may get confused with the students in kiddos classes when viewed from afar, but if anyone truly looked at me up close, there's no way they could still say I looked 14-20. When asked what's my secret, it's genetics, SPF, basic skincare, and(my smartwatch to remind me) to hydrate enough. I do pick out some new skincare items to try a few times a year, but most of it has been the same for decades with just some wee tweaks here and there.
Also can we talk about how successfully James (and Robert) was able to pivot their content. Its still all about skincare but its not just reviews and "routines that saved my skin" every other week

Carry on.
Loooool! I don’t blame you for thinking that! I talk about IBS ALOT!
I have a loved with an IBD,@@JamesWelsh. When you have IBS or an IBD, so many things can set it off. For a half second I thought, "Well, glycerin is in suppositories."
Could you please do a deep drive into OXX cosmetics and/or ALPHA H skin care (from Australia) ❤️❤️
Alpha H ✅
OXX ❌
yayyyyy♥️ hii james
The only thing that makes me pause with ANY product, is the phrase "proprietary blend". Apparently, unless things have changed, there is no legal definition for this and a company can put the listed ingredients in any percentage. You cannot be guaranteed a homogeneous blend and consistency from the same product
To me the toner smells like honeysuckle, I actually really like it
i love the n3 toner and dont really find it to smell ! how strange
lol! The only thing I’ve ever used pure glycerin for is making really good solution for blowing bubbles. I’d never put it on my skin! 😆
😂😂😂
LMAO 🤣 the shits are hilarious. Oh no, I have a Numbuzin no. 3 toner coming in the next couple days. I’m soo curious now. I love, love the brand. The No. 5 line and No. 6 serum are holy grails for me. Thank you James for sharing. Love your videos. ❤❤❤
Ohhh I think I have those 2! Will check them out
i love the first one. i got it in a boxycharm once. it made me break out sadly
I love Bloomeffects my favorite
Would that glycerine toner work better if you mixed a drop or two with moisturiser?
Ugh, the Beauty Crop doesn't ship to the US??
Can you find a dupe for estee lauder revitalizing supreme youth creme?
Skin is skinning 😍
I just bought that Numbuzin toner 😭
