I second this!! Everyone "oh, just do poses that fit the character".....yeah, easier said then done!!! I don't know how to pose, and can't do the same pose for every character, it just looks weird and wouldn't fit

I use Ipiccy for basic (auto fix, sharpening, etc). I don't really do touch ups to skin, or anything. This video is really interesting, and has alot of good helpful advice/tips.

This was a much needed video! Loved it. Would love any more info on the topic of cosplay photos & photoshoots. Been working on getting better at taking my own photos and my friends. Posing for pics I feel like is the hardest.
Wanted to add that maybe even a video on how to set up at home photo shoot area would be awesome.

Don't be nervous! Just play around with a photo editing program until you get comfortable first, then try editing some photos and see how you like them. 😊

About Lightroom, apple has free version of lightroom at least for ipads/iphone, dunno about computer. It's not free trial, it's just free, with most basic stuff available! :>

Wonder if the skin smoothing thing would work on my beauty marks, what I've been doing just makes matters worse, but may be to program I'm using. I've been using picsart since I started because I don't really know what to do for pictures so I don't have a lot of them, so it does the job I guess. I thought I could cover them with makeup to not worry about them at all, but somehow I've not found a single video of how to cover them, but 50 million came up on how to do fake ones with makeup 😒
If you only have Photoshop you can also just use the Camer Raw Filter. (Filter > Camera Raw Filter) instead of Photos from Apple. Its easier because you dont need multiple programs and you have the same editing possibilities like in lightroom.

could you do a video on how to turn a wig white? if you know how ofc. i'm trying to figure out how to turn one of my older wigs white for a cosplay i'm working on, but i can't figure it out. does anyone know any tips?
I've seen people use baby powder? Sounds like a mess to me, but it seemed to have done a really good job when they explained what the color of the wig actually is, it turned it stark white

You can’t dye a wig a lighter colour, only a darker and similar colour. Unfortunately, you will just have to buy a white wig

Anya, please educate me on this! as you ready yourself for Cons, dressing in your finest, perfecting your makeup, presenting your best "look at me"persona. Yet when you're at the Con, it's Do not take candid photos without asking! As a photographer, I feel like, look Linda, let's take a picture of this poster"! I take pride in my "photogra[her's eye". I don't intend to look for odd positions or embarrassing shots. I pride myself in taking flattering shots, that maybe other photographers might miss. Am I wrong? Would that make me a creep? All Cosplayers do their best, to look their best, but does that mean, "don't take my picture until I can get into my pose"? I don't have that much skill in photographing statues.
Cosplayers don't like people taking candids because it's hard to know the intention behind the photo; are they taking panty shots? Are they taking unflattering photos? We don't know, and usually the intention behind candids isn't good so it makes cosplayers uncomfortable. When we pose, we have more control over how we're photographed and posing also means you're ok being photographed as not all cosplayers want their photo to be taken.
