  • In this webinar, we will introduce the control technology of connected autonomous vehicles, a prominent form of future mobility. Connectivity provides information to the target vehicle from surrounding vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians' status, and network sources, while autonomy enables the target vehicle to make decisions on its movement. Effectively leveraging the vast amount of information from connectivity and the high degree of control freedom from autonomy can maximize the potential of mobility, leading to a significant enhancement in traffic safety, efficiency, and energy efficiency. This presentation will first introduce the concept of connected autonomous vehicles and the control issues involved, followed by an exploration of control theory and AI-based techniques to address these challenge
