The continent will experience its first total solar eclipse in 8 years tomorrow.
The next solar eclipse won't occur for 2 decades.
Americans outside the path will see a partial eclipse.
It’s expected to be the single biggest travel day for the US this year.

the next total solar eclipse right in my city here is in 144 years. the next partial solar eclipse in here is in 18 years.

Was living in Ohio in 2017 experiencing the eclipse with family. Took some amazing pics. Down in NZ this time, will miss it.
They sure are nervous about the sun and moon crossing paths. Schools closing and told to prepare but yet not told why. At this point I am not even terrified. Actually would be happy it caused life to change for the better. But wishful thinking...I know

Well you have to prepare if you are traveling.
There will be a lot of areas where people will not be able to see the eclipse due to aircraft contrail induced clouding, which create ciruss clouding.
Was Clear here...FL coast. However... after watching sky noticing there was No Moon in the sky today...🤔.. Don't you need a moon for an Eclipse??.. plus. They launched 2 rockets off just before this occurrence...So...🤔🫤🤔

@@dianegreyson8787 I am not an astronomer but always wanted to see one since I was a young child old enough to know of them, and finally in my 50's I saw the 2017 one and it was awesome. Worth the 12 hour drive there and the 25 hr back for 2min and 20 sec. Great bonding experience with my Son.
To many it is nothing of interest, and to others it is. Apparently you were one of very few lucky enough to see many total solar eclipses that is has become of no interest to you. Envious. As I said in my OP to each their own. However, I do see that it does interest you enough to watch the clip, read the comments, and reply to my post. 👍

This eclipse is going over Nineveh (US). Jonah went to the city of Nineveh to tell them to repent or their city would be destroyed. It’s speculated that an eclipse took place at the time when Jonah was in Nineveh. Whether that’s the sign of Jonah Jesus was talking about, we will wait and see.
