- Hi Everyone,
Today we are making Shabby Double Pocket Tags from Envelopes! Inspired by @CarolineontheHillside . These are really cute and fun to make from an envelope, paper, and fabric scraps. We made ours from plain white envelopes as well as coffee and tea dyed in all different sizes. In these we made today we used our digital paper and ephemera sets available in our Etsy Shop. Not only are these great in your journals we thought they would make super cute gift card holders especially at Christmas they would be adorable hung on the tree!
Thanks for stopping by we really appreciate you! Be sure to comment below and don't forget to give us a thumbs up and subscribe. With everyone's support we hope to be able to go live so we can craft together in real time!

Loving the jagged edges on the envelope🤗
Mistakes are just opportunities!😊
I love that tape at top. It doesn't need anything else .and FYI , you can use as hair dryer or embossing gun to warm things stuck down and it will release for you.
@angelaschmidt9563. Hi Angela, Wow that is a great tip. I will be using that in the future for sure. Never heard it before. Thanks for sharing. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie

Hi, good morning, Patti and Debbie! Great to meet you both today! I love your pretty, vintage envelope pocket tags. I had fun watching you creating and enjoyed seeing your etsy shop. Thank you for sharing your ideas and inspiration 🥰💕🌸
@CarolineontheHillside. Hi Caroline, good to meet you as well. We were so inspired by your envelope tags that we had to try making them ourselves. I am just now watching your CZcams video on Whats’s In My Vacation Junk Journaling Kit. I am going on a Viking cruise to Panama Canal in December and we will have “sea days” so I will be using your ideas about journaling on board ship. I think it will be fun! Thanks for sharing ❤
@@PrintnPixelStudioOh! A Viking cruise will be full of beauty and adventures! I’ll look forward to seeing, if you choose to share, your cruising creations! 💕
It's just paper. Stamp your notes.on it. Not to worry. It's not a mistake. It's an opportunity.

Hi Patti, Thanks for the great comment. Super cool you and your sister have the same names as we do.😊❤ Patti and Debbie
just an idea, put your letters together with a rubber band around them and stamp all at once. ❤️
@karenbelbin6790 Hi Karen, Thanks for the great tip! I will for sure use that next time. Thanks for your comment. 😊

Hello from Greenville Michigan
So happy you found us!!🥰
Patti & Debbie
I love this idea and I love pockets and tags. Yes it's very good for christmas. Thankyou for showing. I have also an CZcams chanel. Lovely greetings from Dresden/Germany.
@AlleszuJournalliebe So happy you like these tags. We will check out your CZcams channel. Thanks for your comment. Patti and Debbie
You can always place another copy of that tag over it, but only glue the correct sides this time making the pocket you wanted in the first place. This way the inside of your pocket will be decorated. 😊
Or you could make a half pocket. I like the butterfly 🦋 better. Have a Blessed day.
@p.t.5145. That is a great idea, wished I’d have thought of it at the time. The half pocket idea would have been cute. I’m like you I like the butterfly better. Thanks for your comment, hope you will join us for more videos. 😊 Patti and Debbie
Hey from Germany. It's lovely to watch you muddling through! I make mistakes all the time, forgetting things...
For your "brain fog" - you probably just need to drink more water. It always takes me a while to switch from cooler weather to it being hot, water, juice, koolaid, whatever makes you drink more!
@avaDesdemona Hi Ava, Thanks for the nice comment and thanks for the tip about drinking more water. I am guilty of forgetting to drink enough when I get busy. What part of Germany are you from? My son in law is from Berlin and Debbie and my grandkids lived there for about a year. Loved it! Patti 😊
Hi Ava, Guten Tag!! Willkomen!! You are definitely right we need to drink more water we struggle with that! Where in Germany? I lived in Germany for a year my husband is German.☺ Debbie
@@PrintnPixelStudio Ohhh how lovely, we're near Frankfurt, but we've visited Berlin a few times and it's always been fun. Berlin feels a lot more relaxed than Frankfurt does, but maybe that's because I'm a Tourist there ;-)
Also, I made one of your envelope Pocket Tags, and... I glued down all my inside Pocket pieces because I wasn't paying attention *lol* In my defence, it was late! I'll make another one and pay better attention, but I want to turn it into a mini journal by adding a signature of fun little printables I have laying around.
@@avaDesdemona We have many friends that live in and outside of Frankfort they work for Lufthansa. I have been to Frankfort Airport many times but never to the city. We have been told that the Christmas Market at Romerberg square is the best! We hope to get over there in the fall. Would love to see your pocket tag! We have a Facebook site you should share it on there!☺
@PrintnPixelStudio ohhhhh, I love airports and planes (when I'm on the ground, I had some terrifying flights, so I'm not very keen on flying anymore). I grew up here, and when I was little, we still had the American helicopters stationed nearby, and we got the "tiefflieger" (fighter jets) from ramstein airbase, so exciting! We moved away when I was in primary school, and I finally moved back here after my son was born (my parents had moved back here a few years before me) and I remember laying in bed looking at the stars... all in one neat row... and realizing, "Oh, those are planes lined up to land in Frankfurt!" That felt like coming home.
(You'll have to excuse the rambling. It's 2am, and I've had *a day*)
Put the scrap piece of lace and put it on the tag part. Love the tape at the top.
@jodiecleman1344. Hi Jodie, That is a great idea. I wished I had thought of it. Thanks for your comment. 😊
Well, I certainly won't be getting rid of any more envelopes! I really enjoy watching your channel! Great project today. Tufs 😊😊😊
Thank you Tonya! 💗So glad you stopped by today and yes save those envelopes we love repurposing items for our journals!

I used the mini finger pads to stamp faux rings on the paper using the opposite end of sponge (the plastic round part)
@patriciabennett481 Hi Patricia, that is a great idea, we will try that. Thanks for sharing!
You could add some wild flower vines owners your word notes add tea stain papers cut down and staple them together\add bird butterfly
@bettymcclain4960. Hi Betty, Thanks so much for your really cool ideas. I wish I had thought of them when I was making the envelope. That wild flower vine would have been super cute. ❤😊 Patti
Yall are too cute and so pleasant to listen to. Not to mention your incredible talent❤
@mitzimoore3068. Hi Mitzi, Thank you so much for the sweet comment. We are so happy you enjoyed the video. We have a new one coming out tomorrow or Monday and hope you will join us again. 😊❤
I just found your channel, and you're wonderful. You could use a digital flower only partially gluing on the left side of the flower and then onto the left side of the tag to make a tuck spot with the flower.
@marlenehoward9611. Hi Marlene, That is a really good suggestion and would be really cute. This is why our goal is to be able to go live on CZcams because it would be fun to be able to talk to you guys in real time. We are so happy you found our channel and thank you for the nice comment. 😊 Patti and Debbie
Super, super cute! Thank you for sharing :)

Hello from the UK I’m a new subscriber and am really enjoying your content , I like that you show things don’t always go as planned but still turn out 😊
@jackiemcleish5350. Hi Jackie, thanks so much for your comment, so happy you like our videos. It seems like no matter how much we plan a project there is always a little issue. We feel like that’s half the fun of crafting though, when you make a mistake your imagination can come up with lots of new ideas to fix it. Most of the time the project turns out better because of it. 😂 We will have a new video coming out this weekend. Hope you will check it out. Thanks so much for subscribing, we really appreciate it. Patti and Debbie 😊
New subscriber and new cardmaker. You are such a delight. Thank you for today and all to come!😊

That’s very cute I’m going to try this , thank you for sharing
@evl71541 So happy you like the tags. They are lots of fun to make. We hope you will share yours with us after you make them. We love to see other crafters art. Hope you will join us for more upcoming videos. Patti and Debbie 😊
You could cut out around an envelope window and glue 2 sides down over your 1st design. This would make a "see through" corner tuck. It might be too flimsy, though.
@bonnieschmid278. Hi Bonnie, Thanks for that idea. We could see that working and it could turn out really cute. We might try that even on a project that wasn’t a mistake.❤😊 Patti and Debbie
A piece of velum gluing down the outside and the bottom.
That's a great idea Kathi! @craftaholic-creations I will definitely remember this tip!
😂 Thank you for sharing your project. So cute. I will make one for sure❤
@gracemaxwell6157. Hi Grace, So glad you liked these. We hope you will share your tags with us when you make them. It is always fun to see each others work. Hope you will join us for more videos. Patti and Debbie 😊

Hi good morning gals - new subbie from SW Florida -
I Love your sweet tag ! And your videos !
Thank you , so very much for sharing!
Agree pollen is outrageous! Not at all good for us who have allergies 🤧
Have a fabulous day. Nice to meet you both !
Where are you in Florida ??
Sounds like a fantastic cruise 🚢
@cheryltallafuss1886 Hi Cheryl, Nice to meet you as well and thank you for subscribing we really appreciate it. We are in Bonita Springs. Where are you? Yes, I am looking forward to the cruise, it should be fun. Patti and Debbie 😊
I saw someone do these and there great
Yes we were inspired by @carolineonthehillside and this was just our interpretation of the tag. That’s what we love about junk journaling you can be inspired by a creator and put your own unique spin on it! ☺️
For the pocket that you accidentally glued down. Just make your pocket directly over your boo-boo. BTW, love y'all.
@jhaah5208 That is a great idea do not know why I didn’t think of it. This is why our goal is to go live on CZcams so we can talk to you guys in real time. Thank you for your nice comment. Hope you will join us for our next video we will be adding to channel this weekend. 😊 Patti and Debbie

@RusticJournals We are so happy you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for subscribing we really appreciate it. Patti & Debbie
@caroljohnson6996 Hi Carol, This is true and I seem to acquire many opportunities in my crafting 😂❤
Place the card at an angle and leave the top open for a pocket Dee
@doloresstoltzfus66. Hi Dee, Great idea, we will try it on a future project. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
How about stamp? Button? Pearls? Glitter?
@42warren42 These are all great ideas. Wish I had thought of them when we were filming the video. Thanks 😊
If you really had to have it there and you had an other card the same size you can alwayss cover the rose card you glued down. And put the vase one in it. I know that just made a bunch of scrappers cringe,. However, if you really had your heart set on that design you could just cover it with an other rose card.
@vickievegas1837. Hi Vickie, Thanks so much for your comment. This is what I should have done but for some reason I never thought of it. It would have solved my problem.😊 We hope you will join us for more of our videos. Our new one will be on CZcams tomorrow or Monday. ❤
How abour a ribbon bow? Or small mulberry flower?
@42warren42 Yes, either of these would have been perfect! 😊
Put a word up their
@peggysito1556 You are right a word would have been perfect. Thanks for your suggestion. 😊

Fyi: it was 111° here in Vegas. It will reach between 112-115° here in hot 🔥 🥵 Vegas. Everyday in the summer's. People that say "oh you get used to the heat". I will call them let's just call them big fibbers. I've lived in HOT VEGAS. for 30 yrs. Still not used to the heat here. Lol
@shabbyrosecreationsbykem. Hi Kem, How can you get used to 115 degree heat? Yikes!😱 We are crying around in Florida with 90 degree heat. With humidity it seems hotter but we never have 115. That is scary! Thanks so much for becoming a new subscriber and so happy you enjoyed the video. We will have new videos up this weekend. ❤😊 Patti and Debbie
My oldest daughter moved to Florida 6 years ago. I tell her all the time. Idk how you could live in Florida with not only the heat but the humidity is on a whole other level there.
The winters are usually nice but the summers are killer. We usually go to California in the summer but we can’t go this year. We have kids that live in California and kids here in Florida so we try to split our time between the 2 coasts but we can’t go this year. Where in Florida does your daughter live?
@PrintnPixelStudio my daughter lives in Winter Haven. I was born and raised in Northern California. I truly miss it there. Bu it's way too expensive to move back there.
@@shabbyrosecreationsbykem Where in Northern California? Both my husband and I are native Californians. We were both born in SoCal but lived most of our adult lives in Northern California - San Francisco and Humboldt County. I miss it too but same, too expensive can’t afford to move back.
