I miss there buffet . One of the best
It was one of the best. The new property owners are not going to bring it back unfortunately.
Nice review, Jack. I didn't see a notification and then went looking for it because I'm used to waking up while watching your Saturday drops.
Thanks as always for watching. Something must be off because my test account didn’t get notified either.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
i really appreciate the attention to detail dude!
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
Thanks for the tour. That Kiss car was awesome! New subscriber. Came from Spine Ticks stream. Enjoy your weekend!
Spine Ticks rocks!! Thanks for subscribing, hope you enjoy the content.
Thanks for the tour.
This casino would be packed if you moved it to 42 St in NYC for sure
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. The Rio definitely has a lot to offer. And yes, if it were in NYC, it would probably be packed all the time. Thanks for watching!
We like it. Room was fine and treat Diamond members well
Thanks for sharing your positive experience at the Rio Hotel as a Diamond member.
Just stayed this weekend. out dated but it was somewhat clean phone in room didn't work and had no hot water the first couple of days but they got it fixed. Looking for a place by the bed to plug the phones in and move the bed back a little that was scary. But I have stayed in worse places.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience staying at the Rio hotel! It's great to hear from fellow travelers and learn about their experiences. I'm glad to hear that despite the issues you faced, you were still able to enjoy your stay at the Rio.
Again, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, and for watching my video. Happy travels to you!
another good review
I appreciate that
Rio gets some bad rap but I enjoyed staying there and I also brought my own coffee maker.
I need to look into getting travel coffee maker. I enjoyed the stay at the Rio. It needs some upgrades, but I've stayed in worse facilities.
Dude enjoyed watching the tour of the hotel room. I would be at smash burger a lot I think. Kiss world that is awesome. Zoltar will give you wisdom for a small amount of money lol 😂yep that sandwich that you got looked amazing.
Glad you enjoyed. Smashburger usually has a long wait. Kiss world is awesome, look for something on that in the future.
First time went to Vegas in 1997, stayed at the Rio and liked it. They had the Rio carnival show and the free shuttles from and to the strip. Those are gone. Went back there again in 2017 and the rooms seem smaller?
The rooms are 500 sq ft. Not sure if they have shrunk over the years. The hotel was bought by group affiliated with Hyatt a couple years ago, and they were going to make the rooms 580 sq ft, and rebrand the hotel. It would be the Rio in name only. I don't know what became of that venture. The hotel is still run by Caesar's right now.
Thank you for sharing another adventure with us. Always enjoy your video's.
Thanks for watching!
Caesar's Resorts really let this property go down hill. The World Buffet used to be the best in Vegas. Now it is just a shadow of what it once was. I used to stay here a lot, but stopped about 5 or 6 years ago.
A couple years back (2021) a new group bought the hotel and was going to retheme the hotel incorporate it into a Hyatt Regency. The Rio name would remain the same. As you know, Caesar's still runs the property, nothing else has been published about the new owner group. Buffets in Las Vegas aren't staying open for long, most have gone to a brunch schedule and are closed before dinner time.
The buffets all closed when the pandemic started three years ago. The buffet at Caesars Palace is the only buffet open amongst the Caesars Rewards properties. There used to be buffets at Harrah's, Planet Hollywood, and Paris.
I was just there this weekend and was very disappointed of the lack of restaurants and bars that was closed.
I agree, the hours for the resturants that are open, 7am-3pm for most, makes it difficult to make early breakfast or regular dinner plans. Thanks for watching and the comment.
No coffee maker and the star bucks not open 24/7 lol
A lot of the times were off between the restaurants/shops on the website, and what was on location. There are two Starbucks at this hotel, the one by the elevators was supposed to be 24/7, but the lie detector test determined that was a lie.
Most important is the comfort of the beds???
Thank you for your question! I'm sorry I didn't cover the bed comfort in the video. But to answer your question, I've stayed at at the Rio several times and can say that the beds have been very comfortable. In fact, it's one of the reasons I keep coming back! Thanks for watching and asking.
Prices would be nice
yes they are.
Nobody cares about that. That's why he concentrates on bathroom tissue and pop machines.
thanks for the review. how is the parking? i'll have a car rental.
There is ample FREE parking around outside of the hotel. Two parking structures, and an overflow lot.
@@NevadaJack thanks. i eneded up booking at the golden nugget instead. the negative reviews about rio on both google and yelp are non stop.
@@magamaga1827 The property changed owners two years ago (2021), and this hotel was supposed to become a Hyatt Hotel. The hotel would be Rio in name only. I enjoyed the stay for the video, but there were some quirks. Golden Nugget is a classic hotel, and I have hope that your stay there will be fun and exciting.
How much is a room on weekdays?
Right now I’ve seen their rate as low as $11 for the room during the week. However, add to that the extortion fee err I mean resort fee and taxes which will put the room at $60-$70.
@@NevadaJack thanks
How much did ya pay?
it was $35 for the night, plus the usual taxes and resort extortion fee total was around $80.
I’ve heard it’s a horrible place to stay
Thanks for watching and comment. My personal experience at the hotel was overall positive.
Cheese and fries for dinner in Las Vegas?.... Blahhh.
Thanks for watching. Actually, it was a French dip sandwich with fries,. I tried it based on a viewers suggestion. The sandwich was one of the best I've had. Thanks again for your comment and support.
