Mumbai Airport is very sensitive airport.
I think you don't know how 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks were plotted where over 300 people dies and over 600 injuries. It all started with a American Tourist (more of Terrorist) David Headly ex FBI agent and brainwashed turned ISI Agent(Pakistani Natioanl Intelligence agency which Backs Terrorist groups) shot video clips of all important locations like railway station , Taj hotel , Oberoi hotel , Etc and send it for training plotting Terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
So from next time don't say they are ignorant they are just cautious about preventing any such terror plots to happen again. From last 8 years there have been 0 Civilian Terrorist attacks Thanks to our Intelligence Agencies and Paramilitary forces.
But you should know last month only ATS Delhi seized 5000 Rounds of 7.62×39 mm Bullets from Delhi . Indicating there was a Massive terror plot going on (if you dont believe me search Hindustan Times YT channel a Premier National Media In India)
I would avoid airlines flying the 737 Max whenever possible.
Josh, I'm a 737 F.O. for an airline here in the U.S. and I fly the MAX alot. I just want to tell your subscribers that the MAX is a safe. It is the most scrutinized airplane ever made. Those of us who fly the MAX have a great time flying it. It's faster, quieter and with the larger glass panels in the cockpit, it's a pleasure to fly. I understand why people do not want to fly on the MAX but I will tell you our airplanes are full every flight and the 737-MAX makes up a good portion of our aircraft fleet.

A few months back I was chatting to a Virgin Australia pilot on a Facebook page, and asked him what he thought of the 737 MAX (which Virgin Australia is getting next year), and he told me that he was really looking forward to flying them, and that while the 737-800 has been great, that the MAX is going to be a great step up. That was really the moment I realised that as much fun as it is to make jokes about the MAX, at the end of the day if the pilots have confidence in them, its about time that we the public do too.
pfff the real story which no one is talking about is that the plane itself was never inherently unsafe. What made it unsafe was that boing and eff eh eh decided additional training was not necessary because "the Luv" airline didnt want to spend xtra money and put pressure on your gov to say no additional training. Result? Well 2 of them fell out of the sky. THATS the real scandal, no one is talking about. Typical american BS, profits over everything else.....By the way, there is a channel called "maximus aviation where he goes in-depth into this $hit...

Being a retired Southwest employee I have had many flight experiences on the Max 800 ever since they first got delivered. Have had zero issues with flying and working with the aircraft. It’s a reliable and comfortable and very quiet it also has one of the best fuel economys of any aircraft . The one advantage it has is the altitude it flys at it can use shorter direct flights because it can fly over most airliners . I do like your videos especially with airline I haven’t used . I am sorry for your Mumbai experience but there is a reason they are more hostile to vlog in "sensitive locations". In the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai they had an American(Look up David Headley) record videos of tourist destinations.This was done for terrorists to have situational awareness in locations they hadn't visited before and was instrumental in the attacks being as devastating as they were.
Should police then be hostile to anyone taking pictures around the white house, on the bus, train, in germany, france and the uk hostile to drivers? Come on... that makes no reasonable sense!
Most of the hijackers on 9/11 trained right here in Phoenix Arizona then went to emery-riddle in Prescott to finish getting their “training”. It’s sad to know these a-holes were living less the. 20 miles from me. But the Mumbai incident was almost as bad. Never do terrorist care where they are but only the mission they want to pull off. The 737 MAX was very literally a killer plane when launched, but later it underwent the most intense and thorough scrutiny ever in aviation history, with aviation authorities from all over the world making demands to Boeing that were never made to any other aircraft or manufacturer before. After the fixes, I doubt that there is a safer plane in the skies right now. I'd fly on one without a second thought.

Same with the DC-10, it went from horrible with tons of crashes to one of the safest, but the damage was done and people were always scared of it. Same with the 737 max. I ain't flying this even if its deemed safe. I don't trust the aircraft or the manufacturer.
It is great to see a crew who want to be there and do care what the passengers think. I have seen some of your other videos where they simply don't. This airline I do hope this airline continues. It would not bother me flying on a 737, many people flew in DC10s during a period when there seemed always to be crashes.
I can’t name that airline here where the crew seem to doesn’t care but trust me they do but unfortunately they r so frustrated and chained and bullied by their organisation that they can’t do their best for the customer even if they want to. Also they r literally starved without pay for days post their payday. It’s a sorry state there. Trust me cos am one of them and we come last. Hope u will find the hint in this

One reason Akasa chose the 737 MAX is that Airbus has a huge backlog for the A320Neo. In any case, we have way too many A320s flying in India ( cough IndiGo cough), so some variety will be welcome.

I flew singapore airlines 737-8 max from singapore to phuket back in feb 2022! I was definitely quite cautious of getting on board this plane as I originally booked with the A350 in mind. A few times during the flight I did think at "what point we would start plummeting to the ocean?!" I can say that both flights were operated smoothly and I am still able to type this comment haha In the future, I would definitely prefer to book flights that are not operated by the 737-8 max
I have flown in several MAX aircraft and I feel very safe in them. I fly frequently with Southwest Airlines within the US (the largest operators of the 737 and 737 MAX in the US and world) , both short and long haul with stops, direct with stop and non-stop. When I hear all the negativity about those aircraft, you have to also realize that other aircraft in the past have had spotted history, but lessons were learned. It comes to an airline to properly train their crews to meet or exceed national and international standards.
I don't have an issue flying on a Max 8, in fact I've done so a couple of times this year. The way I look at it is if the crew are comfortable enough to fly it now that the issues have been rectified, then I'm happy to be sitting in the back. After all, the crew want to get home safely at the end of the day just as much as the passengers do!

@@nickolliver3021 Boeing has been doing so many cost cutting measures in order to maximize profits. There’s a reason A320 is the most successful airliner right now.
@@arhampan2480 Airbus has been doing cost cutting measures in order to maximise profits too. The a320 is doing slightly better but the 737 is slowly catching up now
@@nickolliver3021 sure the 737 may be catching up, but Boeing also has 787 problems to deal with compared to Airbus only having the A350 paint issue which they have resolved.
I was one of the people who criticized 737 max alot but this changed when I traveled from dubai to istanbul and return with fly dubai boeing 737 max. It seemed safe aircraft to me. It changed my opinion about it

As long as Singapore Airlines is flying 737 max, I'm happy to be in a 737 max on any given date.
Like any aircraft it depends in the crew and the maintenance.
Trust the airline, not the plane.

I'm always moved by how kind and understanding you are with the cabin crew and I'm sure that's why they prepared you this little gift. As a crew myself, it's great that you treat them with utter most respect! For the Max, it's just sad that Boeing lived in denial til the very end claiming so many lives in the name of profit so I can understand that many people have concerns til now.

Here in Canada if you fly local you will end up on a Max 8 it is very difficult to avoid it since all airlines use the Max 8. In Brazil (the country I was born) I also fly on it a lot since Gol is changing their oldest 700 and 800 for the max 8 and is not uncommon to have a flight scheduled with the max 8. On my last trip to Brazil I flew on 4 maxes, 2 on Air Canada and 2 on Gol.
A320 family are my favorite narrowbody types but I'd still travel on a Max, as it has been cleared to fly commercially again. As for the Max being the safest airplane in the skys- bunkum!

Flew the MAX on a 7 hr 45 min flight from Dublin to Toronto with Westjet. Although a little uneasy to begin with the aircraft proved itself to be very smooth and comfortable for the transatlantic hop.

Max 8-200 is the same model Max as flown by Ryanair. It was developed for Ryanair and model now sells to other low-cost airlines. Has an extra emergency exit to cater for the higher density seating and was certified as a different model Max
I flew on a Aeromexico 737 Max 8 four months ago it was an awesome experience, much quieter than 737-800 . Loved the mood lighting in the cabin. I do believe it’s a safe aircraft to fly on.

I'd not hesitate fly the max - am sure every aircraft type has been involved in at least 1 major incident and had reliability issues, but you can't let an aircrafts past put you off flying that type. Long live the Max

The DC10 was also heavily scrutinized...and lived on to be a great airplane once all the kinks were worked out
I have flown on a 737 MAX with no worries and felt very safe and thought they were extremely comfortable. Both the airlines which had the crashes had very bad safety records to begin with so in my opinion it was not the aircraft however it was the pilots who were at fault. Anyway 737 max id a really great airplane.
Hello Josh, and thank-you so very much for your flight review! This is one of your fans from the US, and my name is Guerry. By all means, I would have no problem flying on any of the MAX variations. Certainly, Boeing made a HUGE mistake when they first launched the MAX. But after the unfortunate mishaps (my heart goes out to their families) and the subsequent grounding, the US government went through both Boeing and our FAA (Federal Aviation Authority, who gives the approval for flight worthiness) with a microscope. I followed the news closely, and the spankings Boeing and the FAA received were so severe, I was in pain. But when the smoke cleared and the MAX had been reengineered, I believe that it is the safest commercial aircraft flying. Furthermore, Boeing and the FAA are now putting safety as a priority over profits.
Regarding your flight, I am impressed with Akasa Air. For if the air crew is as professional as you reported, it seems as if all other aspects, especially aircraft maintenance will be exemplarily completed, and the aircraft will remain in a pristine state.

Flew on Max 8 with AA. Great aircraft and super safe. Yes it's the safest plane in the world. DC 10 also had rough start and became very popular
I fly on the AC A320/321 a lot for work, but if I have a choice between Max 8 and 320. I will always choose the Max8. Max8 is a better flying experience in my opinion as a passenger.

I fly akasa frequently, I believe indigo and akasa are the 2 best domestic airlines in India now. Air India transformation is still a work in progress. No issues with flying the B737 max, in fact I love akasa, because all their planes are brand new ! hope akasa grows well and dominates and gives indigo a run for their money !
I would fly a Max 7/8/9/10. I'd fly a Short Sandringham or a DC-4 if it was available to fly commercially though. Every flight can potentially be your last, regardless of type, once you are resigned to that fact you don't worry too much

I've been on United's new max .... i found it to be more comfortable on my ears than the older Boeings. Also, the mood lighting was really helpful.

I think that its okay for Akasa to operate with the B737 MAX short fleet given that these aircraft have had their safety parameters thoroughly reviewed and corrected by Boeing and hence having been approved airworthy !! Wishing them well !!
I get the hate on the MAX series given the incidents in its short service history, but I don't see this as anything different or worse than when the DC-10 was launched. Similar start to its service life, but feel like now more people have such a great feeling towards the DC-10. Just need time to pass to show how good the MAX series can be
737 MAX had a rough start but I feel confident in saying it is likely to have a long, successful life & eventually see conversion into cargo use long after it's commercial phase runs out depending on it's successful adaption to alternative fuels. I believe the fuel question is going to be a large factor in most aircraft's lifespan use. The standard USB port is going to be around for a long time be it one will see more USB-C ports along side of them in my opinion. Simply, it's not all about the phone. I would not worry to much about be recognized as your channel grows. You will see the good and bad in things regardless now with a different perspective. Safe travels.
I'd be fine flying the 737 MAX at this point. I like to think it has been thoroughly looked at and audited. We all end up having to trust engineers at some point.
If you don’t know, in India many Airports having Indian Airforce bases too so there also photography and videos are strictly prohibited so be careful !!

Regarding the question of Max or not.... I landed on a Max without actually knowing (Turkish). I have to admit it was the most comfortable, spacious economy seat I have ever sat in (from Accra to `Istanbul)... absolutely amazing! Whether this was Turkish Airlines being generous or the actual seat design, I really can't say. Let's face it, I had little choice!
They should change the name to something else, to MAX + or 737 PLUS, because people will always remember the disaster 2 years ago.
The problem with the MAX isn’t the aircraft itself in fact MCAS systems have always existed, for example the alpha floor system on a320 or mcas on B767 Tanker, but the real problem is Boeing’s attitude to save money, every little penny possible which result on the mcas system reading values from just 2 AOA sensors instead of a more robust solution of 3 ( standard in aviation) so it was just a matter of time before 1 aoa sensor would fail giving erronous reading and pitching down the aircraft, so the problem is boeing which makes me think other aircrafts like 777X could be affected by this way of operating

The “mcas” system has been tested and tested now . Yes, there was a horrific one line of code in that system that caused the anti-stall system to operate without intervention. Boeing was trying to group all 737s together, to not allow or require to take checks on this new 737 max. From talking to the 737 guys, it definitely has a different feel and the engines are placed much more forward and closer to the Aircraft body than other 737 types. This gives the aircraft, a different, feel hands and feet wise. Aerodynamics are much different on this aircraft as well. Hence its ultra high efficiency. It was Boeing,in my opinion, trying to squeeze a little bit too much juice out of a lime , marketing it as a easy transition aircraft with no type check. Wrong move in hindsight. I still feel Boeing makes a terrific aircraft- I fly a Boeing Heavy as well . Boeing , with its rough patch behind them has corrected the 737 Max now . One line of corruption in code on mcas . 737Max today, is a very safe aircraft, and when I say that, it has to be maintained properly to first world standards.… maintenance is also important for Airbus to be done to 1st world standards as well. Airbus has had some frightening issues with aircraft, but I won’t get into, however, they are much much better at covering their deficiencies up much much better than Boeing.I’ll leave it at that . Push back and start up time. Level wings guys and CAV-OK ! Capt. J.

The bad reputation with the MAX stems from MCAS, a software-hardware combination responsible for auto-correcting above normal steep angle of attacks to prevent stalls without pilot input. Since the two highly publicised ill-fated aircraft events, the issue has been resolved.
For those who still believe MCAS is required to keep a MAX safely aloft, this is not the case whatsoever. If you doubt this, take a look at Farnborough Airshow footage on CZcams showing Boeing crews performing extremely steep take offs with their MAX. In order to execute such a maneuver, MCAS must be turned off beforehand. Therefore, if pilots are fully familiar with the MAX's unique flight quirks, MCAS is unnecessary.
So why did Boeing install MCAS in the first place?
The MAX handles differently on takeoff than previous 737 iterations due to position of the LEAP engines. To avoid expensive new type certification and extensive pilot training, Boeing installed MCAS to negate the effects of the subject flight characteristic.
Bottom line: properly trained pilots can fly a MAX safely without MCAS. Furthermore, MCAS is now designed to function with two angle of attack censors. If one of them proves faulty, MCAS turns itself off. This was not the case with the previous system. In fact, until corrective measures were put in place, airlines were able to purchase and operate a MAX with only one angle of attack censor installed to save money!
Lastly, it is worth nothing that the crews of the two ill-fated MAX's could've turned off MCAS manually and avoided crashing their birds into the ground, but somehow weren't adequately familiar with this option. Some claim this to be the fault of the original flight manual.

Angle of attack is the problem with the max the vector the relative motion between the aircraft and the atmosphere the wing can not create lift so needs the engines an engine problem or going through bad weather can cause problems.
I don't have a problem with the airplane, I have a problem with the brand. How the company handled the aftermath of those two, I hesitate to call it, accidents, because it was so much worse than that. It just makes me not want to give my money to the airlines that do business with Boeing. Will I do it though? Probably. Will I want to? No! Is some brand safer than other? Probably not, but the culture seems to be quite different between those companies tho.

5:40. You were seated at an overwing Emergency Exit row (there are FOUR exits, two each side overwing). By default as an exit path...seat pitch is increased.

Firstly love the fact that you’re candid and straightforward in all your reviews, blunt sometimes but it’s needed and helpful for other flyers and even the airlines and staff they employ. I'm a engineer and the reason why planes and cars and so on sometimes get released and feel out of date fast like the USB ports you mentioned is because it takes years off design and planning to make new planes. Technology moves very fast and its hard to keep up
My sister is a long-time cabin crew member for a major US airline that flies Boeing exclusively. She says she has no worries whatsoever. Meanwhile, I've flown the MAX 8 and 9 13x this year, and I'm confident that it's a safe aircraft.
I fly 737 Max's all the time in US and Canada for work. Never had an issue. I am a 2 Million Lifer on AA so have had lots of experiences.

Just a suggestion from my side, how about on any of your next flight you take someone along with you & they sit in a different seat so that even though crew are being nice to you but that other person with whom u are traveling would get real experience as the crew would be normally or actually..!!

Don't forget Boeing 737 family has been very successful over the years. They must have learned from their Max disaster and introduced hardware and software modifications to this variant to make it more safer, and hence still very much in demand. Don't write off the most experienced player in the market -- Boeing!
In my opinion after 47 years as a travel advisor I believe the Max is the safest aircraft in the world. After the two horrible disasters the Max aircrafts were tested to the extreme. I remember the day they were grounded I had a customer booked on a Max to Peru and worked hard to change the booking to another aircraft type. I saved a very expensive vacation package to Peru.

well Bonza has been here in Australia for some time now and there has been no crashes but, I think if the 737 Max can't self stabilize with out the use of computers what happens if the computer fails well?... I would like to fly Bona to try them out as well as the 737 MAX but the issues will be in the back of my mind when and if i fly with them, i still think the A320 NEO is a better aircraft and I all ways feel save when i fly on the type,k so yeah

I'm flying on a 737 Max 8 next month. I'm confident the plane is safe. I remember flying one before the disasters, and thinking it was a great plane. As has been said, no other plane has gone through so much scrutiny.

As I mentioned somewhere else, Akasa in Romanian language means "home". It is a good name for the airline :-)
Akasa in india means "sky" , theoretically it means "Limitless"

Actually, Josh, the state in which the city is part wet and not dry. Foreigners and visitors from other parts of India can apply online for a permit. There are 35 stores across the state including nine in Ahmedabad that sell liquor on production of a physical copy of the permit. Once the permit expires, users are to hand-over the unconsumed liquor to the district collector
10:30 alcohol is not permitted on domestic flights in India. That's a rule, so it was absent from the menu

You may feel the aircraft is dangerous but its actually safe. The 2 737 max planes which crashed was caused due to minimal training and the fact they they did not mention the MCAS system in the training course. But after these 2 incidents and the suspension of 737 maxes services, all pilots were warned about this incident and Boeing had to pay a huge amount of fine as well. There is no need to worry about the plane these days.
3:40 I was recently asked to remove video footage from a Ryanair flight. The attendant was clearly nervous to ask me and really happy that I was nice about it. It does make me wonder though; Can they do this? And if not, is there a way for me to say 'no, sorry I won't remove anything' in a way that is friend and doesn't get the flight attendant into any issues? Because obviously it's not their fault.
I guess you are technically on private property and they could prohibit the use of cameras as part of their terms and conditions. It is however a civil matter rather than a criminal matter. Same goes with airports and museums. I have discovered the latter often dont allow tripods or support for camera equipment/ or require you to sign a form to say it is for personal use. CZcams isnt really personal use especially if your getting paid... unless clearly told no before you go keep up the respectful following of directions of the staff.

My fam flew with the Air Canada Boeing 737MAX recently and said nothing bad. Maybe in future I will try the Max. I flew the A32xNEO on the Airbus side and was happy with the plane.
About cameras and security: I was almost interogated by the Italian Millitary for just filming at Turin Porta Nouva some trains. Be careful and be open also to stop filming.
I've always wondered about the "don't film" thing when any bad actor can easily use hidden cameras or just personally scout weaknesses in the security, while your average tourist plastering the social media with their face pictures is treated like they were committing a treason.
Hey Josh Cahill! I suggest that you do a flight review on Air Albania. Even though I never flew with them, I have heard some pretty good reviews, however I think it’s best if you review it as you are clearly the type of person to take advice from.
I've flown the United 737 MAX 9 probably 4 times in the past few months and I find it very comfortable. They feel newer and cleaner, which is something I guess.

The max was launched on the market too quickly to compete against Airbus...not sure the MCAS system is now fixed.....
Another great review, thanks Josh. I think reward and recognition is always appreciated especially in an occupation like cabin crew where a large part of a passenger's experience ends with the inflight service, even if they've experienced a crappy check in or delays for what ever reason. Nice to see you appreciate good customer service. 👍
I would rather have Akasa operate the A320 or A321 rather than the maxes I don’t really like the max I still think it is pretty unsafe + I’m not much of a Boeing fan. I don’t think I will fly akasa unless they decide to completely swap to A320 family I don’t want to fly the 737 max… so yeah I’m not so sure on them at the moment.

Personally I don’t think the MAX Is unsafe anymore but I do think Boeing is disgusting the way they have gone about it all. They were sneaky and lazy and rushed out the plane and refused to fix things after the first crash. They blamed the pilots and even today they are being cold reptiles when it comes to compassion. I can never forgive Boeing for what they did and I find it ridiculous that there wasn’t a bigger uproar. Rest in peace to all the lives lost because of greed.
i have no problem flying with 737 max as long as many flights is completed safely.
Flew recently on 4 models of aircraft with Singapore Airlines. The 737 max 8 was by far the best. The other 3 were A350-9 (Felt very basic), A380 (Very cramped and claustrophobic) & 777-300ER (acceptable but very old and threadbare).

Happily fly a 737-max, not bothered which manufacturer they chose as the a320 has had plenty of dangerous issues with its computers and pilots fighting eachother at times including fatal accidents. To me there’s always an element of chance in flying like with any transport but as long as design mistakes are learned from (the deHaviland comet and DC-10 are examples of that) and the airline is training their pilots properly and maintaining their aircraft properly then I’m happy - hence why I won’t go near Air France as they don’t do either of those.
