How to attach lace to a pair of socks

I couldn't find a pair of lace socks for myself then my daughter said why don't you make your own? I thought why didn't I think of this, it is so easy and takes no time and you get to choose which lace you want on them AND you can put lace on any socks not just ankle ones and make them super CUTE!

does the lace have to be stretchy?

Hi no the lace doesn’t need to be stretchy because you are stretching the sock out X
