    Always an inspiration. The wisdom Jim comes to it with means a lot, and hearing some of the advice he‘s been sharing with his son getting into the business is invaluable.

    This is so adorable and awesome, I'd wish I had a dad who was in art, this gives me so much inspiration.

    I have been trying to release a comic book in the last 5 years but i am no sure about my self i think like i am going in circles and no confident with my work may be a have to take a break but there is a lot to think about. Your son is very lucky to have such a supportive dad.

    This is actually a smart take by jim, most children of famous parents want to make it on their own merits

    Hey Jim as a big fan and as a new dad I could just imagine the joy .. you have that Lucas has created his own comic. Il say it for you so you don't have to F_ck the haters... Don't let the naysayers haters ECT... Let them go somewhere. Shout outs to Lucas... It's cool that your showing support by not funding him with your riches but letting him earn his worth. And as a real parent you are doing as you should letting everyone know about your son's project .and that in it's self is cool. People need to look past you as Jim lee the artist the man at DC. And as the dad excited speaking about his son's work... Now back to the show.

    I view it more as 2nd generation comic creator.
    The book will stand or fall on it's own merits anyway. It's not like the cover has a blurb screaming "Son Of Jim Lee Is Here!" and that's the selling point of it.

    Does anyone know what brand and model of pencil he is using? I have never seen him use that pencil before. Thanks.

    • @VZAAGE
      @VZAAGE  Před 5 měsíci +3

      I can't identify the exact model but it's simply a mechanical pencil/lead holder. Find one that sits most comfortably in your hand... what matters the most is the type of lead you fill it with.

    bruh. You are Jim Lee. You can ruin the game for your kid. If he really likes playing he'll keep going. Making it harder not gonna make him do any better than if he had the help. Plus if he did those covers you shared, he's good. Meanwhile so many terrible actors and actresses still making movies so.... yeah. it is dope to see you and your son working together. You one of my inspirations so appreciate that you share this much. Good luck to the young Lee.

    "Parent nepo" for you kid is actually your duty.. like why would you try and build a life for your family and not use your influence to support your children.

    • @ericfieldman
      @ericfieldman Před 5 měsíci +4

      When people claim nepotism because a person has a skilled parent that has the special privilege to adequately teach them that skill, it's stupid. It's only wrong if they're forced or get high praise or accolades without the effort

    • @cyspiegel8603
      @cyspiegel8603 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @ericfieldman There's a difference between feeding off your parents skill and influence and being genuinely talented in your own right.

      @cyspiegel8603 did Jim credit his own art to his son?

    • @greatwhitesufi
      @greatwhitesufi Před 5 měsíci +3

      No, it's not. If Jim has his son work with DC comics right off the bat, that's just terrible. If he's just showing off his work, that's fine

    idk. to me J.Lee drawing is so basic. lacking off style. He's drawing is like you see in a text book tutorial. ...I shut a guy i know bcuz he is so cynical and posing as he is a diehard pop culture guy. Comics, movies, toys and gadgets, u know? I don't like the guy bcuz as i said he so cynical. one thing i know how to find out that he is just a poser is when I asked him who is his favorite comic book artist. and he said Jim Lee. Then I said to him. U don't know anything about comics. You only know COMMON ARTIST. YOU'RE NOT THAT DEEP. He got humiliated and said I don't read that much comics. BOOM!!! POSER Exposed!!! E.K. 🤣

    • @VZAAGE
      @VZAAGE  Před 5 měsíci +2

      @otakugaijin2298 Jim's work might seem textbook to you because for a number of years, many artists developed their style by copying what Jim was doing. None could come close (IMHO) but over time, this made his style seem pretty standard.
      If you're no poser yourself... I challenge you to go back and look at comic books before Jim Lee stepped on the scene. See how his work compared to what was considered textbook then. You may come away with a different perspective.

    • @otakugaijin2298
      @otakugaijin2298 Před 5 měsíci

      @@VZAAGE Jim Lee is a common artist. Look at his drawing and look carefully. It lacks dynamic and impact! He's style is so basic. Common artist, COMMON.
