That is what happened to Keia, an African-American woman and her husband when they adopted a white child. In fact the couple, who live in the US, are constantly challenged by members of the public, suspicious about their three-year-old son.

From what I see, "some people" just think they are exceptionally special and noble than "other people". So, if it's white parents raising black/Asian children, it's out of love and protection. If it's the other way around, then it's weird/strange/wrong/kidnapping/racism. Only they can love, but others cannot love. This is what we call "supremacy" and "White savior complex."

But, you cannot "judge" people by "colour".
One "feral" doesn't mean every person of that "colour" is also a "feral".
In fact, Doing so, makes it even harder for people to succeed. There is good and bad in all colours/nationalities/races. Never judge one by the behaviour of another.. plenty of "white" criminals "out there"!!! Often, it's how people are treated in their formative years that will create their persona as an adult.
And, let's also remember why the US has a lot of black people... pretty sure their ancestors did not go there of their own free will!.

Me being a Gen x and German growing up in America since 1979, I think it's that people were unaware programmed image in their heads back when so many children were being kidnapped, & no t used to seeing biracial families as common as in today's society, back then they only saw if the child wasn't with their own race, must have been taken it it's a nanny, (which is crazy đŸ˜łđŸ˜±) but common sense should tell them now as back then any child could have gotten kidnapped, PREDITORS don't care to them a child is a child. But today's society we live in, you CAN NOT have that type of mind set. I get people still want to look out for the safety of children, but if a child is kidnapped in today's time trust me, they gonna want their parents or family and will be in distress , & if you see a child being hurt, then that's different, then make a call , cause I'd rather be wrong say I'm sorry for trying to safe a life defending a child, then another child to found in a dumpster, but NO ONE can assume a child is in danger just because the child is with human beings that are of different races. Especially in today's society.

No matter how many years go by, people are still people and they can be great or they can be obnoxious. I was a white kid growing up in a small town in the 70s and 80s and we had a very "mixed" family. 4 of us siblings were white, 2 of us were Asian, and 2 were black. Plus, I had many different foster siblings over the years who all had physical and/or intellectual special needs and were a variety of colours. :) Whenever we went anywhere, some people just couldn't process what they were seeing. We got stared at a lot and the most common question was, "Is this a camp?" Some people just treated us normally, some people were obnoxious/mean, but I think most people were just genuinely surprised and curious. Unfortunately, their interest often was expressed in less-than-sensitive ways. We have all grown up a lot tougher and a lot more sensitive and compassionate because of this upbringing and I'm really thankful for it. Just raise your kids to respond with strength and graciousness (or to ignore or to have a snappy comeback - whatever's appropriate each time) and to forgive and they'll be all the better for it. You're doing a great job!

Its out of control .Its 2021 really just the tone of someone's skin.I am just so happy He has a mother and a father who love him and he isnt lost in this foster care.Whats that old saying if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything. MORE ppl need to practice it.Its a shame that ppl.are.so worried about other ppls.lives than stopping in a mirror and reevaluating their own..Its a good thing He is where God wanted him to be..

Racism seems to be prevalent in the U.S., especially the Southern states. You should not have to explain your family business to anybody. Your family is beautiful and loving. God bless you.

People are so damn ridiculous. We all came from Stardust. We all started as larvae /mosquitoes in a pond on earth. Skin colour is absolutely ridiculously 2”irrelevant. It is only been used by politicians and religion to divide and conquer by fear.

I don't know any of these people, but I love them all. There are few things as wonderous as the innocence and the non-judgmental love of a child. They see past the superficial difference of race and look into our hearts...they're just looking to be loved, and to love someone in return. May the Big Guy in the Sky bless your beautiful family always ❀

A mother’s love is not something to be messed with, regardless of race, ethnicity, skin colour, nationality, religion, beliefs (or lack thereof), lifestyle, gender, sex, sexuality, where they are from or their species/subspecies. All good mothers and babies need and want each other’s love. This is not something that should be denied to any of them.
Racism is just not acceptable. Nor is any other form of prejudice, be it Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, prejudice based on subculture or lifestyle, prejudice against someone’s religion or beliefs (or lack thereof), prejudice against someone based on prejudice (you can disagree, but you should only disagree kindly and nicely), ageism (ageism is not just limited to prejudice against older people - it can affect young people as well), speciesism or any other form of prejudice.
Every sentient being has as much right to live and live well as you do!
