Puddles is proof that there still is talent out there who doesn't require auto-tune to sound great.
For real singers, auto-tune only makes things worse. Singing is about voice control and taking it in new directions. Auto-tune is like drifting with a car with ABS.
Sadly is the truth. But a dying breed, now a great singer could have fun in cool/silly way with auto tune

I mean there are plenty of amazing singers out there. You just gotta find them. Not every R&B song is auto tuned, not every pop song is auto tuned. Blues is still a thing and as far as I know, all of them, including the new blues artists are all natural singers. That dude that played SnL on November 5th this year didn’t use it. Hell he even played guitar which is rare for pop music these days. Good music is out there you just gotta open your mind and go look for it which in this day and age is very easy to do with CZcams and TikTok. I mean look at Puddles, I’m sure most of y’all found him on CZcams.

She works for the radio station, she was most likely putting details on the social media for the radio station. You'll see this with a lot of performers when they go on radio locations, one or more of the DJs will be busy documenting everything.

First time I ever saw puddles was at a random open mic night in downtown Las Vegas. I went there every Monday for the same open mic event week after week and one day the sad clown just shows up and breaks our heart with beautiful music

Puddles proved that you don't always need a good first impression when meeting someone to win them over. At first they didn't like him and didn't know what to think of him, but at the end of his performance, they were amazed.
Wish I could give you more than one like. Many people commenting here are clueless to what fear can do to you, as this girl was pranked by her studio. They knew she had a real and significant fear of clowns (as mentioned in the video), so she was in a VERY awkward, uncomfortable, and fearful position. The fact that he brought her around somewhat, as evidenced by her eventually saying, "This is amazing", should be seen by everyone (not just you, me and a few others) as a good thing. Yeah, she wasn't a very good singer, but she was trying to have fun, which is all I would wish for anybody, especially in her situation.
