James Mckay yes I was born here but I am only like 25 Percent inuk because my dad is french and the night life is pretty boring I mean I like to go swimming or to the movies and there are like 5 bars it’s pretty small
That was beautiful! Love the sound track too! How do the houses keep their water from freezing up? Does this town have a sewer plant? How warm are summers? I'm totally fascinated!
thanks bex! great questions. The pipes around town either are insulated above ground or heated underground continuously circulating (Most)... same with the sewer lines... Summers from 10-20 °C degrees with 22 hour sunlight at times!
@@Evantures Coldest I've ever experienced is 20 below Fahrenheit, so 50 below Fahrenheit sounds like it hurts. But I have a sense of what that would be like since I experienced what I experienced.
Im glad that you pronounce Iqaluit the best out of any youtube video. I swear people don't even try to pronounce it right.
I have put visiting here on my bucket list!
Thank you, without this video, I would never have known of The Jerry Cans!

Love your vlogs.. From the Philippines
Coming to Iqaluit.....start my own lawn business care.
If I ever win the lottery I will travel here
I'm sure you could make it happen easier than that! :) I know the feeling though. I've always wanted to live there.
I so want to go here. Trying to plan a hotel res but they are always sold out!
Hey Asher! the lack of hotels is a real issue! I recommend Air BNB or bed and breakfasts!
I live here !!
Great pics and views! Thanks for sharing. But what is it like in winter, and what do people do in winter?
I always wondered where the sewage went since everything is built above the permafrost....
The lake. Did he say lake ?
"lake"
Nice video!! Would love to visit

Hello from Toronto. Subscriber 27.
Life Needs Adventure how long is the drive from here to Toronto? Greetings from England
James Mckay Iqaluit is not connected to rest of Canada by roads. Only flights
Birendrajit Singh is that where you live? Have you ever been to America before?
I wonder if people from nunuvut ever leave there and visit the USA such as Miami?
That would be 8 hours total! (3 hour flight from Iqaluit -> Ottawa then 5 hours Ottawa ->Florida) Pretty hefty price might I add
Evantures I can imagine it is but I would imagine a lot of Canadians would visit Miami when it is cold in Canada
Evantures have you been to America before?
@@jaym-bu3cr I've been to Florida and California briefly! Hoping to do a west coast road trip some day!
Evantures where in Canada are you from?
It's albert I'm crying 😢

OK !👍😁🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
Looks depressing as hell. I'll stay in Florida, thank you.
Some might think Florida depressing, I prefer California both for its physical and political climate.
