Boat Carpet, Woven Vinyl or EVA Foam? Pros & Cons of 3 Boat Deck Flooring Options

You have 3 main options for new boat deck flooring - marine carpet, woven vinyl or EVA Foam (ie. SeaDek). But what's the best flooring for your boat? The cockpit carpet on our 22 year old Sea Ray was beat, so we needed to upgrade! We go over our thoughts on the pros & cons of the 3 new options as we tried to decide which to choose for our boat... and we share our final choice! I got hydrodeck installed on my Sundance 460 and LOVE IT! Easy on the feet, stays cool…… and easy to clean

Great choice. We have the same on our 2007 38’ Regal. We replaced our Berber carpet a few years ago and are very happy with it.

Nice good to hear! It took some convincing to not get carpet again but I think it was more trouble than it was worth, plus any way to modernize a 22 yr old boat is a good thing 😉

Good decision. We purchased a 2006 Chaparral 350, in 2013. The carpet needed replacing and we went with the same style of carpet at that time. 10 years later we wanted to change again and decided to go with the woven style. We are very satisfied with it.

I just did a new air conditioner on my 340. Later this summer I will doing new canvas and will getting rid of the faded tan look. Still trying to get my Raymarine autopilot to talk to my Garmin GPS.

Priorities! Sounds like starting with new a/c was a good idea. Electronics may be next yr for us. Gotta love old boats 😊
