- Rest in peace Aaron Hernandez. He just got acquitted of the flawed double murder charges 4 days ago and Jose Baez could’ve gotten him freed since the acquittals remove the motive for the Odin Lloyd case. They were out to make an example out of him from the start. Think, why did his associates Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace both got off easy and get to cut sweetheart deals with the prosecution? Why did waste money to charge him with the double murder when their only “star witness” is drug dealer currently incarcerated (Alexander Bradley) on an unrelated club shooting? Not saying Aaron was a nice guy but the whole thing reeks. And before you condemn him, know that Rae Carruth, who hired a hitman to murder his pregnant ex-girlfriend, is scheduled to be released next year and that Ernest Wallace, Carlos Ortiz, and Alexander Bradley all received light sentences and sweetheart deals from the prosecution/feds strictly because they wanted to "make an example" out of Aaron and take him down due to his fame. The criminal justice system is corrupt to the core. I don’t believe he committed suicide. I don’t believe Lawrence Phillips committed suicide last year either. This stuff stinks to high heaven and I hope it's properly investigated. In any case, rest in peace Aaron Hernandez.

RIP A. Hernandez. He was *innocent* and I truly think he had been *FRAMED* then killed at the end. All of the cases are weirdly framed because why did AH suposedly killed so "publicly" just to kill the witnesses afterward?
A/He supposedly killed Daniel Jorge Correia and Furtado in front of Bradley Alexander and 2 other witnesses who could not remember him btw…
B/ Then, he supposedly shot Bradley in front of two OTHER witnesses who pushed him out of the car. Because he feared Bradley would talk to the police about the previous murder…
C/ Here we go again: He supposedly killed Odin in front of Wallace and Ortiz because he he feared Odin would talk to the police about the previous murder...
How could he kill people in front of others just to realise that he had to kill the ones who saw him kill in the first place?
This is just one example amongst other weird and weirder facts i've noticed. This criminal justice system failed miserably, and this sudden *RUSH-RUSH* to claim Hernandez "gay" or "bi" is *VERY* "*disturbing*" to say the least... Wow, this case has completely changed my understanding of the media and some aspect of the criminal justice system. *RIP A. Hernandez*

A phenom who makes it out of the hood, plays for an NFL championship team, made millions for football, and all in his early 20s, gets a life sentence, beats a double murder, and then kills himself. This was beautiful. I never watched the trial or followed the case and have been curiously obsessed with the Aaron Hernandez case since I saw the special on oxygen a couple of weeks ago and spent some time digging into stuff past the rumors, generalizations and media ratings grabs....
I don't support big name college football programs and boycotted the NFL years ago so this is not about worshiping an athlete because I find them worthless wastes of space in general.
From a sociological stand point, his story epitomizes everything that is wrong with college football programs and the NFL in general.
It's easy to dismiss him and say "he was a thug", "he did this or that" but the reality is:
He was a 17 year old kid struggling with his life's path and reeling from the death of his father who got recruited to Party U where he got talked into recommitting after doubting his choice.
His bad behavior was covered and rewarded instead of addressed in pursuit of $$$ and titles ......
He was an immature 20 year old kid who entered the NFL where he ultimately, if not unexpectedly started spiraling out of control.
In seeking help from his coach and father figure who dismissed his requests and left a 22 year old struggling athlete to fend for himself until he was no longer useful to them.
His 27 year old brain was rattled and damaged to the extent of someone 20 years older.
From a strictly legal stand point, I cannot understand how Aaron Hernandez got convicted for life and the other two received a handful of years ..... ...
one guy failed his lie detector test, the other took a plea deal.......nor was there evidence that he, out of the 3 people who walked out alive, is the one who pulled the trigger ... no murder weapon, no clothes.... just a lot of conjecture, assumptions,trial by media and a "joint venture" law only selectively enforced.
Ultimately, he made his choices but at the same time, he was failed during the most formative years of his life by people who saw dollar signs instead of a human being in need ending in tragedy for a lot of people including but not limited to an athletic prodigy who never got to realize his full potential and find peace with his demons while he was alive........
The Patriot way? Leave a 22 year old kid floundering when he is of no more use to you.
