    The meat( chicken, pork, fish, conch) is then cooked/smoked over choiced woods to add flavor.
    Sweetened fried dough(cornmeal/flour mix)) & or hard-dough bread is served to accompany the meat.

    That is also ugali, Ugali, also known as ugali bogobe pap, n'simaoshifima oruhere and nshima, is a type of maize or cassava flour porridge made in Africa.[1] It is also known as ngima, obusuma, obuchima, kimnyet, nshima, mieliepap, phutu, sadza, kuon, gauli, gima, isitshwala, ubugali, umutsima, and other names. Nsima is sometimes made from other flours, such as millet or sorghum flour, and is sometimes mixed with cassava flour.[c

    Ugali in kenya is made of maize flour, I can see the difference with isima from Namibia is made of millet flour... the rest of salsa is same as kachumbari from Kenya and kapana as chama choma... Africa is made of almost same culture, local foods taste similar and setra... nice video indeed... keep up the good work 💪🏾 WODE MAYA

      It's mostly people from the Northern regions of the country that make "ugali" with millet flour. Not everybody likes it but those of us who come from those regions consume it the most. Ugali made from maize flour is what one would usually find in the shops made by Namib mills.

      Even in kenya and specifically frm western kenya..we make ugali from millet,sorghum and cassava(this is traditionally made ,usually during dowry payments and very important function)

    • @thomasorungo6898
      @thomasorungo6898 Před 2 lety +2

      Ahmad, if you go to some rural areas in Western and Nyanza, you will find ugali made from a mixture of millet and maize flour, or millet and cassava flour , or maize and cassava flour. Any flour with millet in it, make a very nutritious ugali that goes very well with meats, poultry, and fish stews. Do not try with vegetable only stew because it is not very tasty unless you are used to. Anyway, African communities across the African continent seem to have a lot of commonalities when it comes to food and certain aspects of culture, particularly social norms. Awesome video from Wode Maya🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
