I live in Clovis ca and yesterday we had a mild earquake. Today I went outside and saw thin hair line diagonal cracks around windows and doors and also on the wall too. They are horizontal, diagonal and some vertical cracks too. I do not recall seeing these cracks before so iam thinking they happened after earquake. Should I be worry about them? They pretty much go in all directions. House was built in 2005 and its a one story house about 1550 square feet. Have to really look to find them and to see them but they are there
New houses have been built all around my rear garden. The shocks from the concrete pile-driving made my house shake during construction. I now have settlement cracks on what was lovely smooth plaster. Pretty sure it's the same as with you. V. annoying! My parents' house had subsidence as it's built on clay on a hill. The cracks there were massive - you could slide thick coins into the gaps. Settlement cracks are quite fine. Hope that helps.
