Hi friends, thanks for the continued support!
People often ask how they can help me with my work, but can't commit to a Patreon subscription. Watching and sharing my videos is more than enough of a contribution, however if you are someone who would like to help fund one of my 'free' clean up jobs without signing up to anything, I now have a 'Buy Me a Coffee' page. You can donate $5 or more if this is something which interests you :) www.buymeacoffee.com/bladematelL

While I don't really know, I would imagine the homeowner had lost the ability to maintain the yard, and, didn't have the means to have it cut by a landscaper. Most landscapers I know, would definitely cut it, but, having to go over it multiple times, they would make the homeowner pay, and pay well! Shawn, by setting the example of being willing to help people out, maybe, just maybe, you are going to inspire someone to go out of their way to help someone else out. For those of us who HAVE been helped out by others, simply out of kindness, it is priceless. For those of us who do and can help others out, it is equally priceless. At the end of the day, when all is said and done, the man or woman who can honestly say "yes, I made a difference today!" Those are the ones who really know happiness.
As far as how you spend your time/money, resources, that is all your business. I am not going to offer any advice (especially since you never asked for it). It appears to me, that growing your business, while it does carry weight, is not your reason for being. Good on you!

I just finished cutting a very over-grown yard. And even with a very good zero turn mower, I had to raise the deck to max just to make the first cut to keep the mower from bogging down. So after the second and third cuts the clippings were everywhere. I finally manage to raise the mower deck a little over the final cut and that helped scatter the clipping without seeing them anymore. So I know what you are dealing with with high vegetation cuts. Thumbs Up!

Another job well done. Your heart for helping others is amazing. The story you have is remarkable. The fact that you didn't let your past break you, but instead you embraced it and let it help to shape you into who you are.
During one of your videos you stated that you love a good feel good story. You asked the viewers to send some to you.
I have been through quite a bit. My childhood was great and my marriage has been fantastic, but I have seen my fair share of trials.
However, this feel good story goes way back to before either of our time. It is the story of a boy named David that tended sheep for his father. He had 5 older brothers (I believe). 3 of which served in the king's army. He was sent by his father to see how the battle was going, how is brothers were fairing, and to take food and supplies.
Of course, once David reached the battlefield he was quite inquisitive. He asked questions as any young boy between the ages of 15 and 19 would. To his brothers he was annoying.
He couldn't understand why the fighting was at a stand still. There was only one man, albeit the man was gigantic in stature, from the other side that had come forward wanting a one on one battle. If one person from their side could defeat him the enemy would turn and go home.
To David this made no sense. Why would no man from the Lord's army battle this man? The king had offered great gifts also to the man that would fight and defeat this enemy.
David stepped up, even with the taunting of his brothers. No one thought this child could fight the enemy. The king however, decided David was the only option. He took David, gave him his own armor, as David didn't have any, and prepared him to fight.
David was too small. He could not stand under the weight of the king's armor. David said he would be fine. He knew the Lord would be with him as He was everytime he had to rescue a lamb from a lion or a bear.
David went out with just his sling and several stones. The armor bearer for the giant of a man laughed at him and asked why he was coming out to meet him. David told him it was to kill the giant and cut off his head.
Before the giant could even pull his sword David reached in his bag, pulled out a small smooth stone and slung it with his sling. It buried deep into the forehead of the giant and killed him. David ran over and used the giant's own sword to cut off his head. Thus defeating the other army and they were able to chase the enemy causing them to flee.
David was able to accomplish what he had said. He did indeed have the Lord on his side.
This story can be found in 1 Samuel 17. This is just one of many feel good events in the Bible. God has a way of using the underdog to accomplish what needs to be done.
It is a reminder that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me. And also just how necessary He is in our lives. We may think that we have a great handle on things, when I'm actuality God is the one in control.
When I said I have had my fair share I meant it. I have a son that has been through 89 surgeries (most of which have been brain), both of my daughters have heart conditions, one pretty severe, my husband has had open heart surgery for triple bypass, aorta replacement and grafting for an aneurysm, and valve replacement, and I have been on chemo for 9 years along with steroids for a disease that started in my lungs and lymph nodes and has since started eating away at my joints, spine, and eyes.
I am here to tell you that Jesus is real. Not just because I have heard and read about Him. But, because I know Him. I have a relationship with Him. I have peace and joy that I could not explain otherwise. I am not afraid of anything because I know Who holds me and what eternity has for me. Praise God I am never alone. Just like David I can and will defeat any and every enemy this world throws at me. I might have a disease. My children have illnesses. But, I know without a doubt none of those will ever defeat us. Jesus has the final say. The grave will not hold any of us because we have eternity with our Lord and Savior.

Wow i have seen some very thick lawns (mine included) but this looks crazy thick thanks to the clover. Good to see it multched to give back nitrogen to the lawn. I would never have thought of that idea!

Sean, again my friend, excellent work and dedication. I understand and appreciate the effort that is put into a great looking lawn. You, sir, went above and beyond. I live in Gulfport,Mississippi, USA where summer temperatures get into the 100s with 90% humidity. Anyone who cuts the lawn 4to5 times per cutting is DEFINITELY not lazy, Especially when using a push mower. kudos brother. Loving your vids.

love love love clover yards. seriously under rated for people who want a lower work load. if you let it grow its bee food, but the best part is when you do get around to cutting it, unlike really tall grasses, it will still be green. grass is great if you can cut it on a regular schedule, but if you cant commit to cutting constantly clover is amazing.

I've never heard of anyone blow drying their yard!🤣 I nearly had a panic attack when you tipped the mower on it's side. Then later I noticed your fuel tank is up above the motor. Tipping a mower with the usual tank is risky because gas will leak out and with the heat of the mower it could catch on fire and explode. So I never tip mine unless the gas tank is empty, it's cooled off, and the spark plug wire is unplugged. I really like the clover yard as opposed to that long wiry grass. The clover makes a nice low mass and the bees really do love it. It looks great!

  • @christinetakahashi4462

Very satisfying watching the mower go through the clover and edges appear.
