- First time back on the houseboat after being dry docked. Capt Dee takes the helm, navigates like a seasoned river boat captain. Slow cruise enjoying our time together. Cooking breakfast bacon and eggs outdoors on the blackstone grill. Dee attempting to catch us some catfish. A alligator gets hung up on the fishing pole, struggled to get it close enough to be able to cut the fishing line as short as possible. Took a day cruise crossing Lake Fausse Point. We made the trip, and then our boat had some mechanical issues. Had to run with the cover off but did make it back to the dock without any more issues. The main oil pump on the main oil tank went out. The small oil tank that is mounted on the engine had enough oil to get us back.

Awesome job Capt D The spot y’all were at cooking breakfast was absolutely beautiful. Question for you pop. How does it work there in your state on anchorage of your house boat. We can no longer have house boats anchored on the altamaha river permanent. Thanks for the video yall enjoy!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@lutherprince9304 the only things that I have been able to find. Can not anchor on a scenic river, can not block any navigation water way. Some places you are required to lease the land where you are anchor. So far we had to deal with one issue. Had the houseboat tied off at the landing, and within a couple of days I was contacted. Was able to work that out without any problems. We also move around but mostly come back to the location in the video. We stay out of the way and do our best not to give anyone reason to complain. Most issues come from someone complaining about what you are doing.
Finding true information is hard to come by. You get a lot of information that isn't correct from a lot of people.

@@BoondockingCajunstyle l was just wondering about how it was in your state. Here were I live in south Georgia it’s absurd that we can no longer do it. It seems everything today is about the almighty dollar. If the rich folks don’t like the way it looks then you can no longer do it. @lutherprince9304 if you are not hurting anyone or anything I feel that you should just be left alone. It's when someone comes alone and just make troubles, it only makes things harder for other folks

That's all you can do save line and cut it close. At the spillway one day my line wagged wide toward me, it passed drag had no effect so l cut it, that was on a small white feather for snook but it was light line so no chance.
@Timewalkerv saving line is a good thing. I was also concerned that if I cut the line too long, it could get twisted around something and maybe drown the gator.
Capt Dee was worried that I would loose a finger or something 😆
I was ready to call Troy Landry, and and his crew come help you out with that alligator

@craigh3381 momma wasn't so happy about that. At least it was a old pole that has been repaired a couple of times. Looks like I will be able to get one more repair out of it.
