but how to mint NFT in opensea, and connect to discord (meaning those who didn't buy the specified NFT, from my channel in opensea, won't get access to my discord)?
As someone starting in web3 development 2 months ago, seeing more come out from thirdweb, makes me only want to use thirdweb sdk and not others like alchemy or moralis… but each one has their own strengths I guess

You can create a mint page or you can have users claim directly from the contract dashboard. We also have embeds for collections you can use.
I would like to create a NFT membership for my event. I used poap tokens for my last event. Would this method work for this as well?
Or now I'm thinking I'll just use the discord to verify that patrons are NFT holders. Then they will just show their NFT at the door.

Yes you just need to specify the contract address and/or token ID that should be accepted.
