I haven't been happier as a gamer in a long time because of this set. It is really awesome to get a throwback set like this. I am also going to at least rent the movie that featured the Nintendo World Championships. I saw that in the theater as an 8 year old...this is so cool!

You’re still alive!!!! Btw I recently found out that there’s also a Japanese ‘Special Edition’ of the game, so I ordered that along with the ‘Deluxe Set’ you just bought
I wonder how many more Japanese only ‘Special Editions’ exist of other Nintendo games that never got a special edition in Europe or US… because Mario RPG for Switch also has like a Japanese only special cardboard box and manual to make it look more like the original SNES game, which sounds a lot like ‘Special Edition’ to me (already bought it and it looks AMAZING, just waiting for someone to unbox it on YT, I’m convinced it’s just a sealed Mario RPG Switch cardboard box with nothing in it. And the manual/pamphlet was also something you had to buy separately btw, never got to see what’s inside as well since it was also sealed and I don’t want to open these two collector’s items)

Oh my goodness. You talk about one heck of a collection set. I didn't realize it was this kind of quality. Will definitely look into getting one now- yeah, that'd have been amazing if it had an NES board inside (I have a feeling someone will modify it to have something you can play on an NES).

I will be buying this deluxe edition since it seems cool, but I do want to wait for a sale. I just think the stuff it comes with is cool even if the game isn't the best.
Wouldn't a SNES remix be exciting though? They should do that next.

It has been a good year for Nintendo. The direct was awesome and we're even still getting new Amiibo, which I was surprised by.
Unfortunately, my wallet does not agree with all these games and such coming out. That Zelda Switch Lite, I am very tempted by.
I had to preorder that Zelda Switch Lite too - it looks too good! The new Amiibo are welcome - but I wish we got new characters (Splatoon outfit variations look cool though)

I got NES Remix 1&2 on my Wii U before the Eshop shut down. They are really fun. And i played about an hour of world champions today, and it was the same fun. It's honeslty the best way to play NES games for me. Just doing little challenges. Because playing the whole game is kinda much because of how dated they are. Though it would've been nice if every game had a full speedrun challenge. That would of really driven interest for this game
The full speedrun challenges with tips and tricks would have been so appreciated

This Nintendo game is amazing especially while playing in local co-op/couch co-op! I've been playing this game with my two boys and we are having a blast!
Playing online is ok but in my opinion the most fun is sitting next to someone else where all the bragging and smack talk happens while seeing people's reactions and emotions during failures and victories!

I believe that's correct, I've heard a couple of times that there's 26 gold cartridges. What I can't remember is whether or not they were given out to actual NWC '90 contestants, Nintendo Power contest winners, or both.

I was lucky that I pre ordered the Deluxe Edition at GameStop after it was announced back in May and I'm having fun with the game. It's a cool package I got to say.
Aside from that, I've been catching up with Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. I'm in World 3 in case you're wondering. And I'm somewhat collecting some SNES and N64 cartridge games. By the way, I got a Emerald Green GameCube controller at a flea market in a good condition for $30.
I'm definitely looking forward to the room tour so no rush. Take the time you have.
Love the Emerald green GameCube controller - wish we got it here in North America. My wife and I started playing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze again too. We also want to try playing DKC Returns on the Switch - have you tried that one yet? I am wondering if the controls are better without having to shake a Wii remote

@@BoltingMouse2 Good to know! It makes sense Nintendo is porting everything in the last year of the Switch to keep releases going. If DKCR is better on the Switch than it was on the Wii / 3DS, I hope it sells well!
@@NintendoCollecting I agree that I hope it sells because I think it's time for a new Donkey Kong Country game, but since Retro Studios is working on Metroid Prime 4 I believe I could see a new DKC on the Switch Successor. That's just my guess.

they're called Advantage Controllers. because if you do have them, I was wondering if you could do a video about them, if you haven’t already.

You know I was very Skeptical of this release. It just seemed like a rebranded NES Remix. Granted it’s a better use for that brand, but regardless. All the stuff you got with the deluxe edition tempted me and I bought it. Thinking if it sucks I can sell it. And to my surprise Iv been having fun with it. Think of it like speed running mixed with virtual trick shots.
Good point - I just wish some of the challenges were longer and more...challenging

This would be better (IMO) if it came with a figurine of a NES character or a gold trophy replica thats on the front but i feel like EVERY company (Nintendo, SEGA, etc.) have the die cast metal cartridge. Might just be me but amazing video, still might grab this piece for the collection ❤

A few of the challenges include speedrunning through the entire game like Super Mario Bros. I also wish they just included them all as full games

Amazon Canada has a bunch you could oder multiples if you want they have sold over 500+ so far the site says. As of this comment they still have them in stock so if anybody wants the collector physical version jump on it hope this helps.

@NintendoCollecting what's crazy is, I bought my copy at Walmart for $60.00 usd. I got to work, and started checking out the box. The bottom corner was dented in, and damaged, so I took it back to Walmart, and exchanged it for the other one copy they had, luckily, the box on the other one was in better shape, so I'm happy knowing I have a decent copy.

Agreed. Missed opportunity. The NES controller is great to use for it - but the quick reset requires L and R which don't exist on the Switch NES controllers

in amercia, Nintendo is only being carried by fewer and fewer physical retailers. while target got this release, they haven’t taken preorders or listings for Splatoon 3 amiibo or Emio. and Walmart and Amazon had already been not given first party stuff for months. Best Buy and GameStop is all there is now. weird, because even Amazon is not allowing third party sellers to sell the banned goods on their marketplace

How is the game itself? :)
I played with a few friends the multi-player and it was a blast! It had a good mix of easy, medium and hard challenges. I'd recommend using the NES controller if you can for the authentic feel and controls. It was really fun!
