    there are thousands of people posting
    excel videos but this guy really stands out, he can do amazing things!
    To tell the truth it's a bit complicated for me, both for the project itself and for understanding the language... But, the little I understand, is enough to amaze me every time... Keep it up bro!
    Thanks for spreading your knowledge!

    Hi Randy - a few months ago I spent a couple of weeks trying to design a custom ribbon toolbar, watched dozens of videos from other creators and ultimately was able to cobble it together. Your video is the perfect tutorial with everything needed all in one place!
    Many thanks for your teachings and for sharing your knowledge!

    Great tutorial, Randy! I’ve wanted to implement ribbons in my Excel apps for several years & have watched many YT tutorials & read many blogs, but none laid it out clearly enough for me to move ahead. This tutorial is, by far, the best I’ve viewed on this subject. Clear, detailed explanations with many examples, including complex logic, that will enable me to start using custom ribbons in my apps. Finally! Thank you!

    Hi Randy - for the drop down lists can you use table for the list then named range in the code?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi and thanks for your comment Peter. You can specify a single column of the table for the list or use Named ranges. Both will work however I find named ranges a bit more customizable and recognizable within the VBA code.

    Thank you for all this information. I loved what I learned in this video.
    What does your login/logout button actually login to? I am just very curious. Is it tied to the person specifically logged in to the computer, recording their changes in the workbook?
    Could a workbook similar to this track hour by hour numbers from a production line and be able to show real-time information?
    I am genuinely intrigued by all this. I had a coworker help with a workbook to auto populate cells, but now I want to try more. .

      HI and thanks so much. In this training, the Login/Out button is just tied to a cell value, however you can incorporate this feature into a full user security workbook like this: czcams.com/video/0ahYoy5L3ec/video.html
