    You're such a BEAST!! I would have been done by fish creek 😂 How you crank into your boat over and over is insanely impressive. This week is looking like the week. Hope to see you 🎉 🤙🏼

    Your lines thru Grim Reaper and Horsetail were incredible.
    You can see the difference from the beginning of the video where you are taking the opportunity to play in all the ledges. But when the big water comes you run the best lines

    Hell yeah! So I’m not the only one who Flipped in the Surf Below Morning Glory, and the left wave in Shoestring! Nice work!

    That was so fun to watch, especially because Im a cold natured person. I bet the water was 40f. You could probably run the Gauley late October in your underwear. Meanwhile, I'd have 2 dry suits. You ran a tough stretch of river during high water. You should be proud. Congrats 👏 👏 👏

    The swim at 6:30 had trouble on re-entry because David was unable to get his legs extended into the water, due to current, preventing him from using technique to get the momentum he needs for the scoop up into the boat. If he was able to get around the boat he would have been able to get in on first attempt.

    Would you take a Lynx II down this?

    • @r1-ing
      @r1-ing  Před měsícem +1

      Yes. There is plenty of time just hold onto your boat and wait out a rapid to get back in if you fall out. My advice is to paddle strong but be ok with "giving up" on your paddling to highside your IK by leaning way out over it. I use this technique a lot and even fall over and out of my raft on the highside but at least i am through the big wave and usually easily hanging on. Same for IK. Worst is to get dumped upriver into the trough for a quick flush. May not be able to hold onto your IK. And most all levels have fairly green lines to avoid taking hits you don't want to. You don't want to be too lacks because swimming 2 rapids in a row can cause flush drowning. But it is a really clean section of river. Feels like big class 4 with class 3 swims unless the cfs is juicing in the teens.
