I have nothing but respect for John Carter Cash. This is a wonderful book, and much recommended. It sheds light on both his parents, but also on him. He would certainly make any parents very proud. Love to John Carter and to his very much missed mother and father.
I've been a huge fan of John Cash my whole life. Like most I never payed much attention to my grandparents taste in music but at my grandmother's funeral, as I was being my walk down gods path I learned she had always loved Johny Cashs gospel music and that thought has brought another warm place to my heart and a lot of smiles. If John Carter or any of the other kids read these I thank you for the good things and blessings your parents have done.
Thank you for sharing. My family always thanks servicemembers in uniform for their service as well. It's nice to hear that even famous people like Johnny Cash can be humble enough to thank you guys as well. God Bless America.
I’m glad you had the Orbison kids as friends. It’s really hard when both of your parents pass when you are just in your 30’s. I know ~ I’m the eldest of 3 sisters. We were even younger. We were lucky that one of our granparents was still alive, since we weren’t close to our aunts and uncles. DadDad lived 8 more years and gave us some time to grow up. We visited him each year, sometimes separately, and he got to meet the his eldest grandchildren, the first we each had. Your parents, like mine, gave us the best start they could. BTW I love your cover of “Johnny Be Good!” It was really great. Do you still play rock and when your Dad called “heavy metal.” Have you ever thought to work with your big sister Carlene? (Or maybe you have)? Best!
I recommend this book, and further recommend it be read with "I Was There When It Happened" by Marshall Grant, and "Cash: The Autobiography". The three books shed some light on each other. I've never met John Carter Cash. It must have been painful for him to write a good deal of what's inside the covers. One is tempted to think that commercialism, not candor, drove his pen. But it has an honest realism in its plaintalk (including grammatical errors), and I give him the benefit of the doubt.
Jsi krásná kombinace svých skvělých rodičů,Johny❤😊
