We feel incredibly fortunate to live in Charleston, SC, where our adventures often begin by boat. With several islands just a short trip away, we love letting our kids and dog roam free in nature. As locals, we know that Charleston’s beaches can get overcrowded during the summer. However, having a boat and easy access to the waterways allows us to escape the crowds and enjoy peaceful seclusion.
Because of minimal people, we get to experience the true nature of the low-country. We often encounter a variety of bird species, playful dolphins, and even spot crabs scuttling along the shores. It’s an incredible way to connect with the natural beauty of Charleston and create unforgettable family memories.
