I think Microsoft is doing fine. They definitely don’t sell as much hardware as Sony but they destroy in software. I think they should just make games and sell gamepass on pc and ps. But Sony won’t allow that because they aren’t consumer friendly.

Games with replayability and multiplayer will always be better than single player games tbh. Oh and the forest was pretty cool to have on ps. But left 4 dead is over 10 years old and has 24k players active still on a monthly basis. Palworlds was pretty cool and souls-like games such as lies of p and wu long fallen dynasty came to gamepads day 1. Not to mention soon every cod game will be added as well
I'm actually starting to regret my Xbox series X. Putting what few actually good (AA) exclusive they did have on Sonys platform, & not getting any quid pro quo from Sony (or Nintendo). Don't even get me started on their new guidelines which will KILL the brand of allowed to continue.

Not true at all, 3nm, and 2 nanometrer chips are expected to arrive for full production around 2025, Series X currently uses a 7nm, possibly looking at reworking to a 5 nanometer if they have not already, there was talk of it. Anyway, this will be the next, and most likely final tech leap for a considerably long time. Beyond 2-3 nanometer we will start to crash into the fundamental limits of physics, in terms of what is possible with conventional chip construction, it literally can't go further. If this tech is around by then, which is very much expected, Xbox can easily develop the new console leveraging the tech, as no significant advancements will occur in the 2 followup years due to this AT ALL (Literally tech is at it's limits at that point) basically Sony will have no advantage hardware wise, not without making some overpriced Goliath or Something, which.... Good luck with that. And Xbox will have a 2 year head start. Assuming the leak is true.

I think a lot of this doesn't matter at this point because most people hook up their console to their tv, and most people don't have a tv that can display the maximum output of these consoles. I think once 4k 120hz tvs become a little more affordable, that's when the jump in performance for these consoles will matter most

It was revealed in the Xbox podcast that the plans for a revised Series X isn't cancelled, or at the very least Sarah Bond said that they have new hardware to announce later this year. If it isn't a streaming dongle or a handheld, my guess is that it's the all digital Series X which makes the most sense after Phil Spencers comments regarding disc drives and how they aren't really viable anymore.

Coming from somebody with both consoles, the PS5 controller sucks dick battery life wise compared to the Xbox controller. Ngl I was raised as an Xbox guy, moved to PlayStation this year and I’m confused on why yall downplay batteries. Especially with a controller that can’t survive 5 hours straight without low battery.

@@dontreadmyprofile7642 If we take into account that a laptop can be used for work or school that is a pretty good deal but if you are just trying to play games at a high quality at that point why not just buy a ps5 or Xbox series x with a good 4k/60-120hz monitor or TV for like 900-1000 if we include the Tv/monitor in the total and get an overall better experience if you prefer playing with a controller a bit more then a mouse and keyboard that is.

My only problem with Xbox is the controller, I primarily play on PlayStation but a lot of my friends use Xbox and the only problem I’ve had is the with controller. I don’t like the joystick lay out and how the battery works but at least you can put in a rechargeable battery, other than that I think both are equally as good.

Not true at all, 3nm, and 2 nanometrer chips are expected to arrive for full production around 2025, Series X currently uses a 7nm, possibly looking at reworking to a 5 nanometer if they have not already, there was talk of it.
Anyway, this will be the next, and most likely final tech leap for a considerably long time.
Beyond 2-3 nanometer we will start to crash into the fundamental limits of physics, in terms of what is possible with conventional chip construction, it literally can't go further.
If this tech is around by then, which is very much expected, Xbox can easily develop the new console leveraging the tech, as no significant advancements will occur in the 2 followup years due to this AT ALL (Literally tech is at it's limits at that point) basically Sony will have no advantage hardware wise, not without making some overpriced Goliath or Something, which.... Good luck with that.
And Xbox will have a 2 year head start.

I think a lot of this doesn't matter at this point because most people hook up their console to their tv, and most people don't have a tv that can display the maximum output of these consoles. I think once 4k 120hz tvs become a little more affordable, that's when the jump in performance for these consoles will matter most

It was revealed in the Xbox podcast that the plans for a revised Series X isn't cancelled, or at the very least Sarah Bond said that they have new hardware to announce later this year.
If it isn't a streaming dongle or a handheld, my guess is that it's the all digital Series X which makes the most sense after Phil Spencers comments regarding disc drives and how they aren't really viable anymore.
So it will be on par with the PS5 Pro with the marketing strategy being “we are a generation ahead”
And Nintendo sold more Switches than either console combined iirc

First off when their console first launched they only had a ps5 did and digital with little savings if you went with a digital only console, while Xbox alongside their flagship released a cheaper toned down version of the flagship then PlayStation thought “here is an idea let’s release the exact same console again ask the same amount as the original but change nothing except for taking a few inches off the size and making the disc drive removable but make the disc drive expensive enough so they end up paying the same amount anyways”
So not only did PlayStation think it’s a grand idea to release the exact same console again but they also decided to release the PlayStation portal something NO ONE asked for people wanted a handheld from Sony like the psp not a glorified overpriced duelsense controller with a screen in the middle that requires a constant internet connection to even function.

@@dontreadmyprofile7642 If we take into account that a laptop can be used for work or school that is a pretty good deal but if you are just trying to play games at a high quality at that point why not just buy a ps5 or Xbox series x with a good 4k/60-120hz monitor or TV for like 900-1000 if we include the Tv/monitor in the total and get an overall better experience if you prefer playing with a controller a bit more then a mouse and keyboard that is.

My only problem with Xbox is the controller, I primarily play on PlayStation but a lot of my friends use Xbox and the only problem I’ve had is the with controller. I don’t like the joystick lay out and how the battery works but at least you can put in a rechargeable battery, other than that I think both are equally as good.
