Great to see you review a SxS and I love the look of that gun and I know it’s not really a W&S but the name, the Prince of Wales grip, colour case hardening and sheer nostalgia is taking me back to where it all started nearly 50 yrs ago😊. Great stuff Lloyd.
Hi lloyd. A very nice looking gun. I have a 1960's Spanish box lock side plate, colour case hardened with some nice engraving. It is a straight stock which for me makes it very pointable, it has a good cast which suits me well and the sight picture is very good for me. It's nice to see SXS's coming in again, what comes around comes around etc. I remember as a kid helping to clean my friend's dad's SxS's on a Sunday afternoon, that's how memories are made I suppose... Well anyway, thanks for your input on this subject. Good luck buddy!!!
Great review Mr.P. liked the look of that gun a lot. Think I'd have it over any other sbs around that money second hand or new. Even maybe have it over aya 2 may have to shoot one first.
Nice video Lloyd. I wish there was a better selection of new side by sides here in the states especially as I am in the market for one. They just aren’t popular like the O/U sporting guns and cheap semiautos.
Its a lovely gun and i actually like the forend, but when great condition Webley 700s are going for buttons it would be an odd choice. Of course if younhace to shoot superior steel proof then it makes more sense
Lloyd I'm from the US, I know it has been been a while since you have reviewed the A400 and the benelli M2 ... in the market of buying one ... which one do you prefer for hunting. I do alot of waterfowling and dove hunting? Also shoot a lot of clays in the off season.
After giving this some thought, I think the best analogy is that this is an AR/AK type of contest. AR's are easy to shoot, low recoil, great ergo, but require vigilant maintenance to run their best. AKs arent as nice to shoot, but will run and run and run no mater what conditions you throw at them. The A400 is great to shoot, eats recoil all day, has fantastic ergo but, it's a gas gun, and gas guns need to be maintained. My M2 is great to shoot but the recoil is greater than the A400 no question and for I think most people the ergo is good but the safety placement is better on the Beretta. The benefit for the M2 is simplicity and reliability, I love how easy it is to maintain, (or not maintain) and still keep on running. I am not sure there is a clear winner here, both are fantastic guns, it's just a choice of what capabilities you value more.
@@lloydyp all this is 100% true, both have pros and cons and both are amazinggggg guns …. I do believe if you had 100 people and asked this question which gun is better. We would get a 50/50 split because both are such great guns …. Thank you so much for the help!!! Keep doing what you do because it helps guys like me a lot.
I was really set on one of these, until I saw it,the barrells are wafer thin and the case hardening looks like some sort of plastic over lay,I was really disappointed

Pretty nice gun if in the market for a side x side.
looks like a perfect gun for a smaller framed person to carry all day.
Great video.
Nice gun it has to be said , however I am with you on the 486 , proven quality and renowned manufacturer 🧐🤙

Lloyd, beautiful gun - and not a terrible price. I love the case hardening.
Pretty sure it's fake but it looks really nice.
Hey Lloyd - Craig from W&S.
The Imperial is colour case hardened with genuine bone charcoal (unlike our competitors at the higher prices 😉)
@@CraigToft1991 I stand corrected.
Lovely looking gun

Very nice presentation. Where is the Imperial made?

Look at the first reply.
@SuperSynoptic I was asking why made in Turkey is a deal breaker. Are they known to be of a cheaper quality? The gun reviewed well.
V. pretty gun . . . . . . . but how did it shoot? 🧐

You are welcome sir, Any time.@@danieloxendine7818
That absolutely craps over other 'budget' SxS on the market. I wish I bought this rather than my rfm armi zeus

I had a W&S 712 and hardly any gunshop would buy it in, I ended up loosing a lot of money on it.
Is this the Gunmark Kestrel side plate, reincarnated for the 2020's?
Yo Lloyd,,who made it then,,I know it wasn't Webley n Scott,,,,?
Turkish
@@windym709 I've just found out they moved the mfg to Italy,,,rgds
Nice gun, but the " engraving " spoils things. Has it been stamped on? Gives it a cheap and tacky look.
